John Harvard would be appalled.

After God had carried us safe to New-England, and wee had builded our houses, provided necessaries for our livelihood, rear'd convenient places for Gods worship, and setled the Civill Government: One of the next things we longed for, and looked after was to advance Learning and perpetuate it to Posterity; dreading to leave an illiterate Ministery to the Churches, when our present Ministers shall lie in the Dust. And as we were thinking and consulting how to effect this great work, it pleased God to stir up the heart of one Mr. Harvard (a godly gentleman and a lover of learning; then living amongst us) to give one-half of his estate (it being in all about £1,700) towards the erecting of a Colledge, and all his library. After him, another gave £300; others after them cast in more; and the public hand of the State added the rest. The Colledge was by common consent appointed to be at Cambridge (a place very pleasant and accommodate), and is called (according to the name of the first founder) Harvard Colledge.

Seems like there's an opportunity here, to spin off a group from the NCAA. One that will protect women's sports. Further continuation of the bifurcating economy.

I still think the Puckle gun is pretty cool.

Not particularly related, but in AC Rogue, there's a Puckle gun mounted on Shay's Morrigan brig.

While I'd argue that an unloaded musket is a far more powerful weapon than a longsword, an unloaded musket is till a heavy, 6 foot long spear with an ~18in knife blade mounted on the end, the argument is moot.

The Second Amendment was written with the intent of arming citizenry with comparable weaponry to the state, with the knowledge that arms technology would continue to develop over time. If the state is walking around with muzzle loading rifles, the citizen gets the same. If the state is arming themselves with lever rifles, the citizen gets the same. If the state is arming themselves with full auto M16s, the citizen SHOULD get the same.

heh. This is what happens when unemployable idiots, mentally incapable of participating in society, start making policy.

. . . that mean I may be able to buy a new GPU before the CCP invades Taiwan?

I will bet your $1000 that the media will bill the deaths as good for the climate.

Need to be careful. The policy's of LBJ and FDR severely damaged us.

Eh . . . I can't remember the last time I actually held my phone to my head. At home, I usually have it on speaker. While driving, its sitting in the console and piped through my truck's bluetooth.

The 'plague' is called 'Public School'.

I would also add some responsibility to the parents here as well . . . they've clearly been too absent in their children's (mis)education.

Picard is the worst drivel ever!

I dunno . . . STD has had 4 seasons to dig itself. Picard was bad, but it was only one season of crap. So far.

Justice Kagan, dissenting: "The law does not require that the state equally treat apples and watermelons."

Wtf does that have to do with anything?

Well, I most definitely failed grammar. I only got a couple of the arithmetic questions. I could answer all the US History questions except 1 and 5 . . . Not a Kansan and never lived there. I had to look up what 'orthography' was exactly, but I could answer a few of those questions. On geography, I'd get all but Q7 and miss a few of Q5.

Have you become a Precinct Committeman yet? Hooked up with your local Patriot Party? Wrote your representatives? Renewed your GOA/SAF memberships and/or state level 2A group? Attended Church?

Blacks and women have been the more common firearm purchasers in the last half decade. The first gun control the Democrats pushed was to restrict freedmen from buying firearms to protect themselves from the Democrat KKK groups.

Thats even an option? When I was active USAF, the flu shot was mandatory. They went out of their way to hunt down those who slide through the cracks to make us get it.

They usually gave the flu shot the week before Thanksgiving. One year, I took leave to visit family and wasn't on base to get the shot. But exposure to family got me sick shortly after I returned home. Then, after I recovered from that, the rest of my Flight, having got the flu shot, was now getting sick with the flu. I then got sick again from that. After recovering from that, they'd finishing tallying the numbers and sent me a summons to get the flu shot. Week later, I had the flu again. Pretty much spent the entire month of November and the first half of December with the flu.

Thats what Taiwan should have done immediately. The first time the CCP violated Taiwanese airspace, you warn them you're going to shoot them down if it happens again. They violate the airspace again, you follow through on your promise.

Its absurd to let a hostile foreign power violate your country's airspace with military aircraft with impunity. No country should allow that.

Yeah . . . its kinda supposed to. If you're morbidly obese, the doctor isn't there to make you feel good about your self image. Its their job to tell you the truth.
