Those are the two that tend to spring to mind more quickly; however, Tiberius' reign wasn't all rainbows and cupcakes, and that was not far into the imperial age, so I like to use it as an example (plus, you know who came right after him and who put him there).

No, I don't really have any desire for an emperor.

Well, definitely not the same locale, but they did have very similar problems.

They have no choice but to take the bait -- and not because of a meme, and it was set in motion long before now. They can't stop what they're doing because the people who control them won't let them stop, nor can they slow down and moderate their actions. It's quite beyond their control now -- all they can do is try and go for it, full speed ahead, even if it is a bad idea.

Problem with good emperors is that eventually they die...and you could get a very bad emperor ;)

The GS have been doing business with Planned Parenthood for years -- thus, they have been sell outs for years.

PS. Aldi sells some fairly decent, cheap copies of their best selling cookies.

You forgot "while running down an alleyway(?) and tripping over the rug that skidded out from underneath the dog...that he was running after, trying to pull its tail". And, "I loved kids jumping on my lap...and learning about roaches...while I wasn't fighting with Corn Pop, who was a bad dude who ran with a bad crowd."

I think that needs to be left in because it adds a certain...existential frisson...to the piece. Truly, a modern masterpiece of literary art.

Ok...but you'd damage the cactus; remember, let's keep America beautiful.

My kids and I all have them. They're handy because you can slap a pair of half chaps on to ride and then not have to deal with an actual pair of boots for the rest of the time (plus, you're not wearing out your expensive tall boots!), and the pull on style means no lacing or zippers to have to mess with or get broken (a big factor). But mine are, you know, actual riding and work around the stable boots; they're a bit more ruggedly built.

Rich people trying to look like they hang out in a barn all day is sort of a pet peeve of mine...want authentic? Muck out some stalls in 'em!

My husband had to wear one of those boots for a while (busted up arch...jumping out of perfectly good planes will do that to you) -- you do not put that sort of weight on a foot that needs one of those.

The other shoe is one of those high fashion, Italian style renditions of a jodphur boot, pull on style -- unisex. Not the usual thing you see on a man from his era -- kinda fancy nancy. Somebody who wants to be like a Rat Packer perhaps????

Hmm, what shelters did they use as the address? (there could be more than one) Maybe it's time to ask the shelter managers some questions. Start asking the organizations that run them.

Something might come up.

I'd be more inclined to hang the supervisor (and now that I know more...wasn't that her daughter? that would be a cold ass move right there).

Ok, what other "outreach" did they do? For instance, at nursing homes and group homes for the disabled? That's always been one of the oldest tricks in the book.

That's where we put the one that didn't fit on the luggage rack -- just throw a tarp down; it's all good.

I get the impression that for this election the baddies pulled out every form of election cheating and fraud that they've ever used in their playbook -- and it was still so damn close that their cheating became too obvious.

This is turning into one for the storybooks!

You're welcome. I'm afraid I'm not the historical expert -- but I try to stay conversant.

So...Mr. Sterling, how long as this been "normal ballot processing" in the state of GA? Would you care to answer some questions about that?

5
stormcloud 5 points ago +5 / -0

I wouldn't know about that. What I would like to know is: who hired her? Who was her supervisor and her supervisor's supervisor? I want Ruby and Shay to answer those questions.

Nah; just jail time -- she's just a little worker bee. Now, the folks at the top who hired her and gave her instructions...
