Also, if healthy people catch it, they can gain immunity and won't be able to spread the virus. The "herd immunity" that England was promoting has some merit.

Ridiculous. Who do they think they are fooling? No one is flying from Washington to Beijing to escape the virus.

150k RMB is hilarious, too. That's about $20k USD and is more than most Chinese make in a year. Do they think that they will impress their own people by claiming that Americans can afford to spend a years salary to take a vacation in China? 😂 Anyone can look up ticket prices, and they are nowhere near that number. Unbelievable.

Cloth baby diapers, old handkerchiefs or rags, Kleenex, or take the plunge and buy a bidet. There's still plenty of options.

Time to get a bidet. 😛

Here are the countries that currently have formal diplomatic relations with Taiwan: https://www.mofa.gov.tw/en/AlliesIndex.aspx?n=DF6F8F246049F8D6&sms=A76B7230ADF29736

The largest are Guatemala, Haiti, Paraguay, El Salvador, and Nicaragua...

Little red pills. ?

I like the quote from Kevin Dixie: “It’s not just about owning a gun, it’s about maintaining your freedom, and we shouldn’t be politicizing it.”

SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED

Apparently concepts like "supply chain" and "China closed all their factories for a month" are lost on these clowns.

Or maybe this is inherited from the Obama economy? ?

Lol! Who thinks he can just flee to Japan? It's not that easy to get a visa. Does he think he will be welcomed with open arms because he likes sushi and Japanese cartoons?

It's a bit more complicated when it comes to platforms / publishers.

Legally, a platform cannot censor content for things other than being “obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, excessively violent, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.” Otherwise objectionable "must, at a minimum, involve or be similar” to obscenity, violence, or harassment." This specifically does not include political opinions.

Publishers on the other hand can block or censor whatever content they feel like, but publishers are legally liable for any illegal content (copywrite violations, defamatory speech, etc) uploaded or posted by users.

Legally, if a private company wants to act as a publisher and censor political commentary, it is legally obligated to censor all content or face lawsuit for illegal content.

Facebook and YouTube in particular are infamous for double dipping and trying to have the power of publishers but the legal immunity of platforms.

I want to see Oregon go red so much. There is more to Oregon than Portland.

It's the same here in China. Reddit is blocked by the great firewall, but .Win is still accessible.

The source for the "official" numbers or the anecdotes? The official numbers on dearhs shouldn't be too hard to find. The latest update I could find says 80 deaths, 51 cured. 2768 confirmed cases; 5794 suspected cases.

One of the anecdotes can be found in another thread: https://thedonald.win/p/41LymXc/alleged-wuhan-doctor-recording-r/c/

There are other videos on YouTube, too, but I can't access YouTube right now.

News about the quarantined cities can be found pretty easily now.

The concern is that the virus is a lot more fatal than is being reported - even the official numbers from China are reporting more deaths (56) than healed/cured (49). China has already quarantined 10 or 11 cities (millions of people) to reduce spreading the virus. That seems rather excessive for a severe cold. There are a lot of anecdotes reporting thousands of deaths in Wuhan and the other cities, but it's rather difficult to verify those accounts.
