Thanks, appreciate the reply. I feel the same in that it’d be hard to comprehend Trump doing a 180 after everything he’s done and worked so hard for. But, as you noted, none of us really know what’s going on... I just wish I understood and could have confidence this will go the right way. I guess it’s just wait-and-see at this point though.
I have a dumb question... who ordered the National Guard to DC? I’ve been going with the assumption that the ridiculous amount of troops is just an optics ploy from the Democrats to paint “right wing extremists & white nationalists” as a danger from which DC needs protection. But Trump is still president, does he not have any involvement in this?

I like how while they are busy painting us all as racists, they are also backing up the argument that Trump won in a landslide; no republican earns a THIRD of the Latino vote and doesn’t win the presidency!

We can either rip the bandaid off fast or peel it off slowly, the end result is the same. I say let’s get it over quickly, the sooner we can start rebuilding.
I used to think that too, but where has that gotten us? I think the republicans need a big wakeup call, i.e. record low voter turnout and support, for them to even consider using their spines. Otherwise, we will continue down this uniparty road which is heading closer and closer to full blown communism with each election.
