At this stage it is clear that you, personally, are considered dangerous and an enemy of google, and it's parent company Alphabet. Alphabet's revenue is based on information, harvested from users, which is given in exchange for free use of products.
Therefore, if you use google products, you are literally, not figuratively, literally, paying google to work against you and your interests.
Therefore, this is a quick (not exhaustive) summary of alternative products to use RIGHT NOW (as well as my thoughts if I use them)
google search: duckduckgo.com - my preferred search, I only very occasionally use google now. swisscows.ch
gmail: protonmail.com - My current email. I recommend creating an account, and using it to sign up to everything else from here on out, and get in the habit of whenever you receive an email from something important on gmail, go into your account and update your email to your protonmail one.
It only has 500mb storage, but in reality this isn't nearly as much of a problem as you think it would.
Couple of other ones that I searched for:
Tutanota – based in Germany; very secure and private; free accounts up to 1 GB Mailfence – based in Belgium; lots of features; free accounts up to 500 MB
chrome: This should be the easiest one. Brave Waterfox
I've used both of these and I can vouch for both. There are others of course.
Video uploading:
If you are a content creator, it is very hard to leave youtube, I understand that. There are a ton of video sites now, I'd tentatively recommend bitchute (the one I use) but there are other good ones. If you are a creator, I recommend following the Styxhexenhammer route (You do know who he is right?) He's the #1 creator on bitchute and is actively migrating his followers. He regularly asks viewers to follow him on other platforms, as well as makes bitchute exclusive videos. I would also recommend uploading to youtube last, or after a delay if possible.
Maps: Here We Go - I use this, this is basically apple maps on Android and I'm not that enthused with it but it is usable. Some alternatives (That I will be exploring shortly)
OsmAnd is a free and open-source mobile maps app for both Android and iOS (based on OpenStreetMap data).
Maps (F Droid) uses OpenStreetMap data (offline).
Maps.Me is another option that is free on both Android and iOS, but there is a fair amount of data collection with this alternative, as explained in their privacy policy.
MapHub is also based on OpenStreeMap data and it does not collect locations or user IP addresses.
Mobile phones: I find this the hardest, and still use android because of it. I will definitely be exploring the below options:
LineageOS – A free and open-source operating system for phones and tablets based on Android.
Ubuntu Touch – A mobile version of the Ubuntu operating system.
Plasma Mobile – An open source, Linux-based operating system with active development.
Sailfish OS – Another open source, Linux-based mobile OS.
Replicant – A fully free Android distribution with an emphasis on freedom, privacy, and security.
/e/ – This is another open source project with a focus on privacy and security.
No doubt there will be more alternatives posted below.
But the key is to stop donating your money to google. Right now. You are paying your enemy.
I don't know if this was a reddit feature that I missed, I'm not going back to check, but I only figured it out the other day. If you hit save, you can make your own custom tags for threads so you don't lose important stuff. With so much great stuff being stickied it's easy to lose stuff and not be able to find it again.
I assume I wasn't the only one who didn't know this. Or maybe I'm a moron.
First of all this satisfies the criteria of "offering options which are win/win" because the current environment is this: The Covid situation is having an overall harmful effect on Trump's re election chances. And this has largely been dictated by the left and the media.
Option 1 is that they allow for delay of the election which helps Trump because A) he gets longer in government and B) he allows the Covid situation to change to his benefit, thus removing its negative effect on his re election.
Option 2 is that they fight to have the elections now, and are forced to claim that the covid situation isn't that bad, which again helps Trump.
And beyond this, from a strategic level, everyone is about to fucking lose their mind. Based on a single tweet where he's musing about a plan, everyone is playing their best hands in response.
Art of the Deal.
