My family and I have all started to point and dramatically laugh anytime we see someone driving with a mask on. My son likes to yell “shame!!!” It’s fun.

Hahah it’s my favorite. I’m just super friendly and smile A LOT when I’m out and about mask free among all the sheep. People don’t know how to react to a mask-less smile anymore it’s quite astonishing.

We did not join a co-op yet, the ones in our area seem liberal as hell and we haven’t found an issue socializing them yet but they do have benefits if you find a good one. We get out and go to playgrounds, parks, and museums regularly. Like daily outings. They have a few good friends that we stay in touch with and get together with regularly, either kids of our friends or friends we’ve met during our outings. People seem afraid to make connections and reach out when out and about. If my kids play well with yours I’ll typically ask, “can I get your number maybe we can meet with the kids again!” Covid has made shit weird with this though.
Institutional education is the (failed) experiment. Homeschooling is the historical norm.
Homeschooling mom here. We’ve definitely sacrificed by not having two incomes anymore BUT what our family has gained with me being home and the kids being homeschooled is well worth any monetary loss. They’re thriving and happy. I actually get to raise the kids the way my husband and I deem correct and teach them what we deem important.
