We seem to have multiple camera angles on this, and Trump’s words are clearly about current events, so I would consider this fairly definitive proof of life.

That establishes the consequences for disobeying visually and emotionally in people’s minds, and then when the order is decreed to obey, people grumble and complain but eventually submit because they remember the video.
