You'd stop about 20% of mass shootings that way. 80% of all mass shootings are carried out by a certain urban group of people if you use the Mother Jones definition of mass-shooting. That definition is a single attack in a public place with four or more dead so really, that's a poor definition. It's a better definition for mass-murder involving a firearm because in these aforementioned urban areas, that group of people is constantly shooting large groups of people in public areas where people are merely injured. In my relatively small hometown every Monday the paper is filled with stories about the shootings that took place over the weekend, 2 people dead here, 3 dead 2 injured there, 2 guys walking into separate hospitals with gunshot wounds on the same night who conveniently "don't know shit". If you had a magic lamp with a genie and could magically wish that that group of people no longer murdered each other shootings would drop off instantly, yet these shootings may as well not even be happening according to the media. If it's ever brought up in the news it's local news talking about peace walks, prayer vigils and old folks on camera talking about how violent the young people are. I like the analogy that floats around about immigration because I feel it applies to gun violence as well. If your bathtub is overflowing you don't run and grab a bucket, you turn off the water. You could ban guns tomorrow and the only thing that will happen is law abiding people would no longer have them, and considering that it's illegal for the vast majority of shooting perpetrators to have guns as it is, they're not going to listen and we'll all pay the price.
One of my peeves is I hate it when someone refers to Democrats by using the word democratic. It's not a democratic agenda, it's a Democrat agenda. It's not democratic legislation, it's Democrat legislation. The word democratic has positive connotations, as it should, and by stealing the word and attaching it to themselves, simpletons associate things Democrats do as a good, and since Republicans are the opposite of Democrats, they must be bad since bad is the opposite of good.

Feeling of impending doom is probably what he was experiencing and it's a very real symptom and I imagine very scary. Multiply all of that times 1000 if you're dealing with an "urban" school system. The school system is a giant day care and welfare center. The schools are forced to feed them breakfast, lunch, and dinner else they likely wouldn't eat because their parents are awful. You have to bus almost every single student directly from their door else they just wouldn't go to school. If anything goes wrong in the students academic world it's never the students fault or the parents, always the system, and the system always needs more money for them programs. A system near me handed out free hotspots with the goal of providing internet to students that didn't have it at home. After some time had passed that morphed into recalling the hotspots and actually offering to pay tonhave cable internet installed. Most parents refused because they already have cable internet at home. They literally saw a sign that said "free shit" and they got in line.
POC, plain and simple, is a way of saying "not white". Almost every single one of these acronyms could be summed up easier by just saying who they exclude rather than who they include. POC simply means "not white", LGBTGQ means "not heterosexual", indigenous also means "not white" because according to them white people are essentially indigenous to nowhere. I find it ironic in that the vast majority of people on this planet are "POC" and yet somehow the overwhelmingly minority of white folks are somehow causing all of Earth's problems.
I believe that with Democrats taking total control soon our spending habits won't have the same effect as before. It's become quite clear what their MO is, we've been watching it unfold for years now, cancel culture weaponized. If the liberals have their way, there won't be any way for you to protest with your spending habits because any place that even remotely supports conservative values will be utterly destroyed. We've seen it happen already, web service providers shutting us down, credit card and financial institutions rescinding their services. They'll use the media to ostracize and ridicule individuals personally by exposing their personal information, publishing it in newspapers, online and on TV. Evidence of this can be seen right now by going to my local news sites where they are currently ridiculing and exposing someone photographed at the DC event. Reddit is currently a cesspool of the same, mugshots, names, places of business, family, acquaintances. They have us between a rock and a hard place because a great number of us are responsible for more than ourselves, because we have children that we love and those children require adults that are able to make a living. I've seen multiple comments on Reddit wishing for, and this is almost verbatim, that anybody associated with the march on DC be incarcerated for the maximum amount of time and fined to the point of living in squalor for the rest of their miserable lives. These people don't care if your children go hungry because daddy felt the need to express his God given voice, they will cast you out and laugh as your life crumbles around you. I can see us getting to a point where we're back to a sort of red scare type of culture only this time instead of communism, anything remotely conservative can only be whispered in good company because the people around you will rat you out to your employer or to your school or to whomever. The employers will toe the line because they fear the press who can in an instant cause stock prices to fall based on a fabricated scandal that the company harbors "far right values". They will throw you to the wolves to prove their support and prevent the mobs from forming outside the doors. I realize my prediction is bleak but from a tactical viewpoint it makes perfect sense. If you controlled the mainstream media, social media, major corporations including tech giants such as Google, Amazon, and Apple, bias prosecutors and judges all over the country, an army of wealthy donors that feeds an army of paid agitators that can be in the next city at a moments notice, why would you not take this approach? At that point why not push for highly controversial ideas like adding states to the union you know will be solid blue, why not expand the supreme court, once you've done that why not push for electoral college reform, why not erode states rights with federal legislation that forces someone who lives in rural South Dakota to live by the same silly laws someone in Los Angeles lives by? Meanwhile they'll steadily chip away at our 2nd amendment rights as they've been doing for decades while they continue to outsource our 1st amendment rights to corporations and thereby outsourcing censorship.
I'm going to be honest, walking into the capital you would know full well that you're going to face the full wrath of the law, why not make a show of it? Just the thought of being able to walk into Pelosi's office and take a wet shit right on her desk makes me laugh. Any prison sentence you'd get would likely be short, but to be able to tell the story of how you shit on Nancy Pelosi's desk for the rest of your life would be priceless. You'd never buy drinks at a bar ever again.

If that law ever hits any battleground states Republicans are fucked in a big way. You most certainly can refuse the roadside breathalyzer. Under the implied consent law, at least in my state, the only test you're obligated to take is the real one at the station after being arrested. The problem with refusing the roadside test is that the only reason you're being asked to take it is because the officer suspects you of DWI. You will be arrested for suspicion of DWI if you refuse the roadside test, almost 100% guaranteed. Once you're arrested it gets a little more complicated. You can refuse to submit to the blood or breath test at the station, but you're going to pay for it. If you haven't refused a test or been found guilty of a DWI in the past 10 years, you're charged with a civil offense, a ticket basically, and your license is suspended for one year usually, 30 days is the typical minimum after which the judge may issue a restricted license for the remainder of the year. If you have refused or been found guilty of DWI in the past 10 years, a 2nd refusal is going to lose you your license for at least 3 years. Basically, if you're smart about it, keep your mouth shut, refuse all tests, and lawyer up, everyone gets one. All of that being said, please don't drink and drive. With Uber and Lyft as available as they are today there's simply no excuse.
I hate this new obsession with equity. It used to be equality in the sense of equal opportunity was sufficient, now nothing less than equal outcomes is racist. I recall from my youth how my city did something similar. Instead of building new projects, they tore all of the projects down. Those poor people one might think, are they homeless now? Worry not, they were all given rent vouchers to live wherever they want in the city. All of the scum and villany was concetrated to one part of the city, and almost overnight the quiet suburbs were peppered with them, and with them their problems. Litter, drugs, theft, burglaries, robberies, shootings, stabbings, deteriorating property and landscape, fights, noise, gunshots.
It's kind of disconcerting when looking at my local news websites. The center story is always some cop that shot a black dude, but it's literally surrounded by articles of blacks committing horrible crimes, every....single ..day. this latest one in minnesota, surrounded by an article about a guy that killed a mother of 6 in a road rage incident, a guy found shot to death in a car in a neighborhood, a little girl shot and killed on a playground, 4 blacks arrested for a robbery spree that terrorized a community, two more arrested for a home invasion, the list goes on. I used to browse the local mugshots before they stopped publishing them and found it interesting that blacks accounted for 90% of the photos, despite being a minority. These people weren't framed or arrested falsely, they were the ones that shot the person, or robbed the person. People sure do have the blinders on.
