The only thing that makes me sad is that she should have died peacefully, respectfully, in old age surrounded by whatever family she had. Instead she let politics interfere with life and she spent her last years being carted around like Weekend at Bernie's. I like to think I'd never let what amounts to my job interfere with spending my last moments with my family. You tell me I have stage 4 cancer and every moment is a gift, especially if I was blessed with wealth like I'm sure she was, I'd hang my hat up in an instant and spend every waking moment with my family. These people have no morals.
My sister in law was all but crying because of the thought of a reversal of Roe v Wade and what it means for her young daughter. My first thought was, are you actually contemplating a life where your only daughter aborts your grandchild and that's something you fear? What the fuck is wrong with these people? I want my children to provide me with as many grandchildren as possible, it would break my heart to learn one had an aborted child.

I actually saw some MSM calling Trump a lame-duck president. The 'WTF' on my face could have been spotted from a mile away. We all know what a lame duck is, a president either not running, lost, or unable to run, on the way out, a lame duck. I could sit on the side of the road where I live and only look at cars passing and could fairly accurately tell the race of the driver. NFL flags in the windows or large NFL stickers, black. Almost any car with accessories bought from Autozone, black. Almost every normal pickup truck, white, unless it has rims and/or giant NFL swag, then black. Most Chryslers or Dodge Chargers, I could bet black and be right at least 80% of the time. Mustangs I'd bet white and be right 80% of the time. Tint too dark for where I live, black 80% of the time. Someone speeding in a vehicle not designed for speeding, like a beat up jalopy or giant SUV weaving through traffic, black almost 90% of the time. If I'm driving down the interstate already doing 10 over and get blown past by anything other than a rice burner, black or hispanic. Other than beat up work trucks hispanics don't really stand out where I live. You spend enough time in your area in traffic as I do, the stereotypes tend to stand out.
In a town in my state very recently a young girl was caught in what I assume was the crossfire of two black thugs, she died on the playground. Of course people come out like they normally do and pray and beg for the violence in the streets to end, it never works, but where are groups like BLM? If they truly cared about black lives they would form mobs like they do right now and hunt down the thugs that are destroying their streets.I would trade a million George Floyds for one 15 year old girl on the playground.
People with high IQs and extraordinary social skills don't typically run for office, they run multi-billion dollar companies. The only way to get rich in politics is to be crooked and essentially steal, and to do it successfully generally takes a lifetime. An intelligent person who can work a crowd can earn a lifetime's worth of a politicians fortune in a fraction of the time.
Just reading that gave me PTSD of watching the Kavanaugh circus. As a man and father of sons, that shit was terrifying to behold. The thought that me playing grab ass in 7th grade could legitimately come back to affect my career 30 years later is a scary thought. I remember growing up there were girls whose parents wouldn't let them hang out with boys unless another girl was present. It didn't make sense to me at the time and I thought it was just over parenting. Now I could totally see myself enforcing the same rule on my son for his own future safety.

I'm about as non-religious as one can get and I like to consider myself a compassionate upstanding dude. I think it comes from a total lack of empathy and an extreme level of selfishness. My in-laws are prime examples. They spent their entire lives doing essentially nothing to better this country. Squandered their finances, lost their nest egg, never saved for retirement, let their health go to shit, now they are looking toward the government to provide for them despite essentially being social parasites for the better part of their lives. They can only think about themselves, what they stand to gain or lose. Theh can't put themselves in the shoes of someone who worked hard for a lifetime, an immigrant that stood in line for years and worked hard to earn citizenship. They can't grasp that rural folks don't want to, nor need to live by the same rules as city folk. Its all about them and theirs and fuck you if you want to keep what's yours.

My son is at an age where he's losing teeth. Prior to the pandemic during a routine dentist appointment they found that one of his molars wasn't coming out right and with the new molar coming in it could lead to problems, but they weren't equipped to help. They wrote us a referral to a children's specialist. The pandemic comes and they shut everything down. My kid comes to me one day and says his tooth hurts. It turns out his molar cracked literally in half. I call the specialist office and told them what was going on and they said they aren't taking any new patients, period. I explained that I had a referral and that his current dentist can't help him, they basically told me to pack sand up my ass. The thought that a doctor would be so scared of his own shadow that he is willing to let a child suffer is infuriating.

I miss the days of being able to go to Google and search for anything and it just comes up instead of getting curated results. I was trying to remember a joke about black people the other week so I googled "black jokes" and all I got was result after result of black people jokes about white people, It didn't bother me except that I couldn't find a list of black jokes in the results, so I went to duckduckgo and entered the same search. The first result was exactly what I was looking for.
