The Republicans know you're not going to switch to Democrat. And they know despite everything, this is a two-party system, other parties just don't have the clout to win. Bernie got in because despite him being "Independent" he has to become a "temporary Democrat" to run so he gets party backing.
The Republicans who sold us out know unless we just want to throw our vote away we have to vote for them or a Democrat and they know we aren't ever voting Democrat. there just aren't going to be enough of us switching to a 3rd party candidate to scare them.
Not saying don't do it, I definitely am going unaffiliated but I wonder how much they will care.

Before Trump, I barely paid attention to politics and maybe from the primaries on once I became old enough to vote. I just didn't care enough to keep an eye on the news. But after 8 years of the shit Obama pulled and seeing all that Trump wanted to do then I became more interested. Like many Americans, I would rather not fill my days worrying about politics but you don't have much of a choice these days. You might be overruled by the left and have elections taken from you but at least you feel like you're doing something not just letting it happen. I think a lot of people would rather just get back to their lives, forget about politics and enjoy life with their family, go travel, focus on their career and be happy. I know it would lower people's blood pressure a lot. But we can't. If we let down our guard they will finish this country off and we will be the USSR, Venezuela and damn near North Korea all in one.

Clearly, the violence was caused by Antifa infiltrators. They had the standard equipment. My God, didn't anyone pay attention in history class? How did Hitler get his "emergency" powers? He set fire to the Reichstag building and blamed his opponents. This is history repeating itself. This crap happened in Rome in 45 BC, in Russia in 1917, in Germany in 1932, in China in 1947, Venezuela in 1994, it NEVER ends well.
