I fully expect my kids to be wearing masks till the end of the year unfortunately. They got so much crap for even opening schools at all so I can’t imagine the outrage if they made masks optional. I’m thankful our district gave us a choice between online or in person but I hated the masks. I was so morally torn on sending my kids and honestly I’m ashamed I did. I do think they are very relaxed with it, as it’s mostly optics. The kids don’t have to wear them at recess where they can play together but can’t take class photos cause social distancing. It’s stupid.
Of course he didn’t and I hate it. Completely red state and our governor doesn’t have the balls to run our state government the way most of his constituents want. We need a MAGA governor here badly. We frequent elect wimpy Republicans just because they have an R next to their name. I’m hoping some day soon we will have someone worth voting for!
They actually deploy the National guard overseas a lot. My husband is national guard and has two Afghanistan deployments and one Egypt deployment under his belt. One Afghanistan deployment they lost something like 13 soldiers. So it’s definitely not just a bunch of lazy soldiers there to earn college. They’re going overseas and dying like active duty soldiers.
As far as this food issue goes, it sounds like poor logistics management from someone. Where is their supply NCO? They should be making sure these men are adequately fed. I’d love to know more about what is happening with this because I have seen some get legit meals.
Keep in mind that a lot of the people that joined after 9/11 are reaching retirement. We are about to lose a huge amount of patriotic people that rushed to join after that day. The fact that they made it 20 years should be commended especially being sent to a war where they could not fight. I really believe a lot of conservative and patriots will flee, the military is absolutely not the same as it used to be. The leak started in the 90s and now it's a fully sinking ship.
