Do not be distracted from your main purpose today.

We sit on a razor’s edge. One the one side, there will be cathartic vindication in knowing that those who supported President Trump were right to do so all along. On the other, a cold, stark reality in which Americans realize we sealed our fate with a war-mongering career politician and his communist Vice Presidential choice. Unfortunately, I believe that whichever way the cards are dealt to us, there will be some measure of violent outburst across our country. To be candid, I have heard much bloviating about the potential for a second Civil War in the United States in years past and I’ve never put much stock in it—until now. So divided are We the People that we cannot seem to grasp that this is a lesson that history has taught us before, a lesson that cost the lives of men, young and old, who fought for their homes, livelihoods, and freedom. What’s worse is that We might just be ignoring it. Such is the nature of living within a Constitutional Republic, where freedom is often abused by those who don’t see it for the wondrous gift that it is.

Knowing full well the implications and consequences of his actions today, Vice President Pence finds himself in an unenviable, historic position. As I previously wrote, America is at a crossroads—however, Pence himself now bears the full weight of that burden with only the Lord to guide him. Now, one could make the argument that, had there not been astoundingly horrendous decisions made by certain states in terms of election security and certification, Pence would not be in this position, but there’s no point in debating that as I’m sure 50 percent or more of Americans are all on the same page in that regard. We are where we are. This moment will echo loudly in American history. America is looking directly into the face of communism manifested within its own borders and my urgent prayer is that We remember the horrors of those who have dealt with its consequences in the past. I am not one to call for violence, however I will say this to you now, loud and clear without the slightest tremble in my voice that our nation MUST free itself from the binds of socialism and communism. There is no room for those ideologies in a country that is truly the last bastion of free will in the world. There is no gray area. There is no compliance. Our Republic is in dire straits and We must save it from enemies both foreign and domestic, no matter the cost.

If my thoughts appear disjointed or tough to follow today, I apologize greatly. For many of us, we see today as the fate of our Nation hanging in the balance and I am an average American preparing to stand up and fight just like the rest of you. Godspeed in your efforts in DC, God Bless our Constitution, and God Bless the United States of America.

I don't mean to detract from the focus of this week. We must remain vigilant and enthusiastic about the defense of our Republic. In fact, I am currently writing a short piece for tomorrow that shares my sentiments on the importance of the movement. January 6th will be a historic day and everyone should remember that we are on the right side of history. The side that doesn't burn the flags, the books and places of worship representative of those we don't like.

My second writing today (and this will likely be the only time I post twice in a day) is appropriate as I want everyone to remember that we will be vilified for our beliefs. It has been happening for years and will continue tomorrow when, inevitably, violence of any sort breaks out.

In that vein, I find myself growing increasingly aggravated at the blatant falsehoods being pushed by the media that purports itself to be fair, balanced, and unafraid. The common American has no allies left in the realm of the mainstream media. No bastion of hope and equality remains for those who do not adhere to the common groupthink sponsored by CNN, MSNBC, and FOX. One could make the argument that OANN has taken the mantle, but even they pale in comparison to the warped age-old behemoths roughly half the country subscribe to and follow lock-step. In fact, many of us, I'm sure, know some Americans who are much like Oliver Twist when it comes to this propagandist slop: "please sir, may I have some more?"

Many seem to have forgotten that our Constitution has built-in fail safes to guard ourselves against situations such as the one we are currently in. The Associated Press does not get to decide who, when or how the President is selected, that right remains with the electors, the representatives of the American People and even they have checks and balances set against them! My fear is that many of our fellow patriots will continue to turn a blind eye to problematic, glaring warning signs of fraud within our system because it happens to help further their agenda this time. Where were these calls of “our elections are never in doubt” when it came to the integrity of 2016? The party of progress has regressed in their willingness to evaluate our electoral integrity. A hypocrisy which, of course, you cannot remind certain people of without being labeled a bigoted conspiracist who wants to see America return to 1860. If the election truly yielded the results that have been widely reported, I wish to have a peaceful transition of power—as do all—though I do not believe it to be peaceful if the election itself casts a shadow of doubt on America’s integrity.

The nation which leads the Free World is in dire straits by virtue of the fact that we seem to be unwilling--or more concerning still, unable--to even agree on how to disagree. My level of belief in an ironclad election resulting in a Democrat win in the Presidential race is now next to nothing. There is too much at stake to merely take the words of those who have been clearly compromised in one way or another at face value. Frankly, the evidence of at least a small measure of impropriety is overwhelming and glaring. To laugh in our faces and say “you’re imagining things” when the idea is even mentioned is a mockery of our Constitution and an insult to American electoral process. And now, on the eve of January 6th, the onus is on our Electors to help millions of Americans not so different from myself see what our path forward will be.

A man much smarter than myself, Thomas Jefferson, said "I have no fear that the result of our experiment will be that men may be trusted to govern themselves."

For the love of God and all things that are right and just in this world, Americans need to ensure we don't live to regret that beautiful and, I believe, correct sentiment.

Live Free or Die, Patriots. Live Free or Die.

As my username would indicate, I am not Thomas Paine. In fact, I am an average American of average intelligence, physical strength, and success. My name will likely go unremembered by many, save for those I hold dear and even they will eventually forget. I have been journaling these thoughts for a couple of months now and decided that I will share them anonymously with you. I don't feel as if they are anything radical, or that my writing is even particularly good. I merely feel that some of you may find a kernel of truth in the words below while you wait with bated breath for January 6th to unfold.

That said, America is at a crossroads that seems, to many, to decide the fate of our historically unparalleled nation. Facing corruption, riots, hatred, and incalculable greed from those who present themselves as our allies and representatives, who is to say what the best path forward is? My bias towards traditional constitutionalism and honesty to all people may cloud my judgment—though I must admit I am shocked and appalled at how cavalier many are being with the freedoms afforded to us by generations of past Americans.

As the minutes and hours continue to roll by since the end of the formal, constitutionally outlined election day, I find myself questioning the very establishment itself. Of course, though, the founding fathers predicted that this very type of event may transpire and, as such, have laid out safeguards that I must trust will bring the election to a proper, fair and honest finish.

Neither path at this critical juncture is perfect. Under Trump, divisiveness will continue to reign, no matter how ardent his efforts to encourage unity; that is to say, I wouldn’t lay much of the blame at his feet. Biden’s ascension will bring a much more nefarious evil to America’s doorstep, regardless of the claims that he’s nothing but a harmless old man. He is and will be, in fact, one of the most tyrannical presidents in American history by the time his dismantling of the United States way of life is complete. His cronies have admitted to their desire for non-compliant Americans to be blacklisted and dealt with accordingly. This, to those who weren’t already wary of a Biden presidency, should be a key indicator that there are those in this country who would rather see you imprisoned (or worse) than deal with dissension within the nation. Dissension, mind you, that has been what makes this country work since its inception.

All of this led me to two conclusions: the first being that mainstream media has become a mob rule loudspeaker, deciding that whatever nonsensical narrative is trending on Twitter is the storyline that needs to be heard. Second, we need to define for ourselves what we believe American exceptionalism actually is.

I should first clarify that, without a shadow of a doubt, I believe the United States is the greatest and most successful experiment in world history. Never before has there been a country like us, and I would submit to you there will never be a country like us ever again. The balance we have struck in our pursuit of a truly free constitutional republic is irreplicable. Our military prowess, educational freedom, social progress, and economic domination are truly the eighth wonder of the world, and I fear many Americans have forgotten just how spectacular this country is.

However, do I believe those aforementioned reasons alone are what make America so exceptional? No. They absolutely play a key role, but there is, to me, a greater element that is far more intangible.

Our willingness and desire to ceaselessly improve. The fact of the matter is that the reason we have become so divided, so impassioned, is we all believe in our country. We all believe in America’s ability to take steps towards progress. To be candid, there is no reason a country that has been unique since its inception, and a super-power for 80 years, should have to change for anyone—particularly when they have the sheer might America does. We choose to better ourselves. We choose to continue to build our nation up, instead of allowing it to crumble beneath us. We choose to honor those who came before us, while trying to improve the lives of those to come after us.

Can we, with a clear conscience, move forward without hesitation into a more globalist future and forego what it is that has made us so damn different? Will the values of our America be sacrificed for some measure of global assimilation? I fear we have come too far, sacrificed too much, and we’ve become comfortable with the results of said sacrifice as a result. Americans have become morally and ethically bankrupt—what's worse, we’ve become apologetic for our unmatched success.

In a time of grifting and flipping, I must say I staunchly stand by my belief in American exceptionalism and, by extension, in the truly unique and beautiful nature of our way of life. My sincere hope is all Americans feel compelled to have the same attitude, for we appear to be in the days that try men’s souls.

More thoughts to come, hopefully with more answers than questions.
