Time to bring back this T_D classic:
Dear Hollywood celebrities,
You exist for my entertainment. Some of you are great eye candy. Some of you can deliver a line with such conviction that you bring me to tears. Some of you can scare the crap out of me. Others make me laugh.
But you all have one thing in common: you only have a place in my world to entertain me.
That's it.
You make your living pretending to be someone else. Playing dress up like a 6 year old. You live in a make believe world in front of a camera and often when you are away from one, too.
Your entire existence depends on my patronage. I'll crank the calliope, you dance. I don't really care where you stand on issues. Honestly, your stance matters far less to me than that of my neighbor.
You see, you aren't real. I turn off my TV or shut down my computer and you cease to exist in my world. Once I am done with you, I can put you back in your little box until I want you to entertain me again. I don't care that you don't like Mr. Trump. But I bet you looked cute saying it. Get back into your bubble. I'll let you know when I'm in the mood for something blue and shiny.
And I'm also supposed to care that you will leave this great country if Trump becomes president? Ha! Please don't forget to close the door behind you! We'd like to reserve your seat for someone who loves this country and really wants to be here.
Make me laugh or cry. Scare me. But realize that the only words of yours that matter to me come from a script. I might agree with some of you from time to time but it doesn't matter.
In my world, you exist solely for my entertainment. So, shut your pie hole and dance.
As a Swede I was also astounded when I learned that the US didn't have voter ID. That's election 101, man. How on earth are you gonna make sure the election is legitimate if people aren't asked to identify themselves at the polls?!
Not to argue against the drug abuse thing, but the picture you linked clearly shows the wife with her hair and make up done for some kind of photo shoot. In the candid picture OP posted her hair’s pulled back and she’s wearing minimal or no make up. That will always make a difference.
Who cares if they’re male or female? All I want in a steward/stewardess is to be able to trust that they were hired because they were the best candidate for the job. They don’t need to be pretty – they need to be good at their job.
To be honest I agree with the Swedish government's mission statement (that both sexes shall have an equal role in shaping society and their own lives), but I just can't understand why they call that a "feminist government".
I think one has to keep in mind that this is a Norwegian person speaking. The cultural difference plays a large part here, because we’re a more reserved breed of people; Trump’s style of going on the offense and not sugar coating his words can definitely sometimes feel a bit jarring to us Scandinavians.
Someone on Tumblr did a great write up (including a timeline!) debunking the whole "party switch" thing here: https://arkvark2.tumblr.com/post/188398992304/gop-tea-pub-curly-star-child-ohhhh-my-god
Had to sit through two seconds of this video just to dislike it. :(
