I am happy for them, especially Melania. This is a much nicer place than the White House surrounded by swamp creatures on all sides.

They can review as much as they want. Brandenburg v Ohio, not even close.

Show some respect. Federal agent is not like some tv show where you get to decide what you want to investigate when you come in the morning. It is a huge bureaucracy where most people depend on a wage and a pension.

If you are mad about the election, lobby and run for your local legislature or voting commission. Those are the people who fucked this up.

They are going to reduce it to zero. No refunds.

Isn’t he the guy who was saying the day after the election that they watermarked the ballots and were going to arrest Biden by the end of the week?

Sounds like Tiananmen Square. Walk around with a camera in Tiananmen Square and you are carefully monitored and followed.

I would just be polite and refer to the 4th and 5th amendments. Tell them nicely that you need to get back to work and ask if you are being detained.

Closeted. I don’t share my political beliefs. I don’t think any teacher should share their political beliefs. My job is to direct students to primary and credible sources and provide them with the necessary tools to analyze and properly put the text in a historical context.

They were surprised, as it wasn’t meshing with the narrative they were hearing outside of the classroom. They were very curious and started asking more questions, but I of course couldn’t superimpose my own opinion, but encouraged them to always seek out primary sources, especially in the age of corporate mass media. What’s scary is that probably only a small handful of our elected leaders actually read the speech from top to bottom.

I think next week after impeachment passes, I will have them read Brandenburg v Ohio as a follow up and have them argue for and against a charge of incitement. Evidence must be presented based on the text of the speech.

I got a small inheritance, so if they boot me out I will just retire early. I am a career changer, so the pension isn’t a major factor in keeping me ball and chained. Most teachers unfortunately don’t have that luxury.

The Germans know a thing or two about censorship and the dangers of fascism.

Don’t worry. Lindsey Graham will send them a strongly worded letter.
