but it worked so well in new york, when they reduced the number of busses and subway trains as ridership dropped

i think this is because of the robbery risk for the mini mart

i remember this. i thought everyone knew he was a murderer, just like that california congressman who had his aid killed after knocking her up (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Condit)

how many times do we have to see the same bullshit response "there is no record of vote fraud...its a fake concern" while seeing constant ballot irregularities.

In general i agree with you . I believe in strong quarantine. I think NYC should be under quarantine now.

But the LA county director of Public health has been amazing. I think she could plan for this and coordinate offering assistance while minimizing risk to the community

Also, part of America first is preserving our preeminence. This is how you do that.

this is about rendering compassionate aid to the passengers (who should have been smart enough to not go on a cruise, but sometimes you need to protect people from themselves). i don't care if we seize the vessel and sell it for scrap - or better yet, convert it into a hospital ship for the upcoming war with china.

disclaimer...before i get called a homophobe i meant a deluded dreamer looking for pots of gold

we should not be forcing cruise ships with sick on board to stay at sea. we should be allowing them to dock and rendering aid. We are still the United States, and we should be doing the right thing when we can.

We understand communicable disease. we can mitigate risk to the community. I bet that rainbow chaser Mayor of LA would leap at the chance to show "what being an Angeleno" is all about.

we should be giving them free rides home to be with their families in this time of uncertainty.

i think i gave the impression i think there more bad than good doctors. or even that there is a large minority.

i was venting a bit because of a few vocal whiners.

i think the time for vicious review of the clusterfuck at hand is after the events are under some control.

i expect hospital administrators and doctors to say things like "things are tough, but we're managing with what we have". or "the situation is not ideal but we are working out procedures to balance risk with care as best we can"

not really. we would do the same for them in situation if would could. even the cold war would have paused for this. China doesn't play by the rules. if they were up front right away, we would have went into overdrive to help, to make sure the current situation didn't happen.
