Yeah us kids in the 90’s got hit with the global warming business throughout the school years. But, somehow, it still felt less vicious and manipulative. Like an old church lady lecturing you on church etiquette. Now the climate fucks and the COVID fucks froth and bark and sound like they want to kill or imprison you to enforce their dogma.

I sure hope not but damn if I’m not frustrated

That is my point of view. It is happening, yes, but the idea of quarantining young(ish) healthy people so that the vulnerable people don’t have to do anything different is obscene. Last summer when we fought about this she argued that it wasn’t fair for vulnerable populations to have to protect themselves and that it’s our job to protect them lol

The contradictions you have to ignore to “believe science” boggles the mind

That gives me hope, a year of living “locked down” first as she was pregnant and then with our son has really taken its toll

I wish it were that easy. Up to this point I haven’t pushed any topic, live and let live. But now my parents still haven’t met my 6 month old son

This. I live in a nice neighborhood with good schools but it is crawling with leftists who love masks and being “enforcers”. The worst culprits are the Democrat boomer women. They wear masks when going for a walk alone. “We’re in this together!” they cry as they use their pathetic fear of getting sick as a weapon against the young and healthy.

Yo, this. My wife is terrified of the rona and it has been miserable trying to get her to even look at the facts. So when we fight about I am angry as hell and in the little quiet moments I am desperate. We have a 6 month old son, hopefully we doesn’t form any memories of this.

Dude was on my flight back to NYC once. He had a big burly sidekick with him because he is actually 5 and a half feet tall with a huge gut. If you spent your years pretending as a tough guy on screen when you knew deep down you were a sack of shit midget then you’d have to grandstand too. DJT would TOWER over this guy side by side.

Every time I read one of these headlines by these sycophant asshole journalists that use words like “misstep” to treat Democrats better (and message to their rested followers who will then parrot it endlessly) my blood starts to boil. I am SO SICK OF IT. And the worst part is that I know when I bring this up to my shitlib friends they will use the exact messaging. Every time since Trump took office it’s the same deal. It’s all so tiresome. It wasn’t a “misstep” the FUCKING LIED and they are SHIT.

I often wish I had been older in a time before smartphones et al. Seems like a better proposition now that we know. Could we retvrn via a mass rejection of tech? Probably not at this point, but maybe someone can come up with a third way to embrace tech advancement without sacrificing our souls. Yes I am on my phone right now.

Yes I remember how the zeitgeist on race then was more about being yourself and getting along. I can’t find it now but there was a good 4chan post about how it was the closest we got as a culture to harmonious race relations. Too bad it was torn down as part of a power play by the left.

I hear it was much more enjoyable to be on forums and boards etc then, before the cancer of social media. I was just a kid then so even though my dad got Internet we were heavily restricted from using it...I had good parents :D

This is the correct take. Dooming isn’t cool but look people: They will arrest and charge anyone they feel like and if the charges don’t stick it will still financially fuck the little guy. Anyone who isn’t arrested will be put on blast by CNN and fired after the cancel mob learns poor SOB did a racist tweet or some shit. They will ignore any law they want, change any rules they want, and will not cede power at any cost. I don’t think people realize just how bad things are and it’s only going to get worse. These people HATE being embarrassed and will crush anyone who tries. Trump embarrassed them and look what he and his friends and family suffered through for it. They only reason he is still on his feet was his private wealth. No one here can withstand the assault of the new, unified, neoliberal machine that runs our country.

My wife makes comments about “old white men” being the root of all evil every now and again. I always then say “You realize that someday I will be an old white man, right? Or, if I got us rich someday I will be a rich white man?” I guess there’s just some kind of cognitive dissonance there. Drives me crazy though. She didn’t start doing this til after we were engaged and had bought a house. I have to assume she didn’t just start hating on “white dudes” all of the sudden.

The money isn’t even the infuriating part. Must be nice to be literally the most powerful executive in the world (at least for now, but not soon) and only feel like working a couple hours a day, and the press has all agreed to not talk about how fucked up this is.

CNN et al memory holed this but Trump in January of ‘16 honestly tried to reach out to everyone to get work done. Even after all the spygate shit started to circulate. I remember a tweet where he said R’s don’t want to work on healthcare, maybe D’s do? Of course they spat in his face but the point is Trump believed that once elected he could work with the government and bureaucracy to get things done.

Where “sexist men” actually means “normal men that don’t grovel and simp for my attention”

Totally agree. Social media (irony noted here) is absolute poison. Our only hope is that the upcoming collapse of the economy takes Big Tech with it lol.
