There absolutely is a right to vote, but the federal government has yet to preempt the manner the states shall conduct voting. This amendment makes clear that the right to vote exists while eliminating discriminatory intent by state legislatures and only gives the feds a limited window of intervening.
Congress needs to pass a national voter ID law in furtherance of Art. I, § 4, cl. 1:
"The times, places and manner of holding elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each state by the legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by law make or alter such regulations, except as to the places of choosing Senators."

you actually never have the right to use deadly force to defend only property. deadly force is authorized only when reasonable fear of death or severe bodily injury exists. From what I read about this, the guy ran back into the store to continue shooting at the suspects. I don't blame him and I certainly would be glad burglars get what's coming to them, but unfortunately some states don't see it that way.

I was amazed when one of my friends I graduated law school with sent me this text. The first line of text said DHS is activating the national guard. As a military member, I stopped reading after that. There’s only one service in DHS, which is the coast guard. DHS can’t order guard soldiers and airmen to do a damn thing. The amount of ignorance out there is astounding.
We're going to come out of this by early summer, the stock market will shoot back up, and will lead to a massive Trump landslide victory. It's going to be glorious.
