Well they knew A did B but not necessarily Why A did B. But when it comes to practicality and survival knowing the first is all that is really needed at the time.

yeah reddit is a cesspool. And you get people who will try to psy-op like that all the time. It was very much like that on /pol/ as well.

The idea of it goes like this.

"I used to be on board with person x, but they finally did a,b,c and I can't stand them any more. So I switched to person y."

It doesn't have to be a centrally planned idea and can come about as a LARP or a group planning.

But the intended outcome does 1 of 2 things

  1. for people supporting candidate y , in this case sanders, you can have people who support him say "SEE, SEE DRUMPF BAD AND HE IS JUST BRAINWASHING PEOPLE"

  2. to make people who support person x, in this case President Trump, think "hmmm if others supported him and change their mind then maybe he isn't as good as I was lead to believe.
