Not directly without having access to the White House website servers to see where incoming requests are coming/being redirected from.

The best you could do is start doing DNS record lookups on known domains or through a brute force search. Or trying to make an HTTP GET request on the domain and see if that web server redirects you.

It would be very hacky and slow either way.

But he swiftly got the hell out of the way in very "not like Trump" fashion. Just saying.

January 6th caused a major change in his tone.

I mean just look at it, Trump, his family, his administration, and his supporters were all betrayed, silenced, and threatened in the course of a couple days. It has all just been so surreal.

It is my opinion that Trump had exhausted all of the practical options to remain in office. Sure, he probably could've gone with any one of the proposed "nuclear" options, figuratively, but with so many people working against him, it probably wouldn't have succeeded anyway and would've left the country in bad shape.

It is also possible that once it was confirmed that congress would be controlled by democrats- and RINOs -that he decided there was no sense in remaining in office. His second term would've been meaningless, with everything he attempted to do being blocked or overturned.

Trump is probably just tired of the shit. He deserves a much needed vacation, so he exited as gracefully as possible without conceding a single thing to the democrats.

Again, the livelihood of Trump, his family, members of his administration, and his supporters were threatened. . .he probably considered that when deciding against taking further overt actions.

In reality, we made it through eight long years of Obama, we can hopefully do the same with Biden. I am praying that local/state-level politicians and attorney generals don't put up with the shit and put a stop to a lot of his "progressive" agenda.

With any luck, we'll see Ivanka run for Senate, and Trump run for President in 2024. . .if the country is still standing that is.

In my opinion, it is not how the USA dies, but how it survives.

It is really the core principle of MAGA as I see it. It is America, or domestic interests, first, then foreign. You ensure domestic survival before worrying about the survival of a foreign entity.

You can adapt this to the individual. You need to think about your own survival before you start worrying about the survival of other. When your survival is assured, then you can ensure the survival of your immediate family, your extended family, your friends, your circle of friends/acquaintances, your fellow citizens, your country, etc.

It is just important to not get greedy or forsake one for the other.

I know this is cool and all, but don't post, link to, or share stuff like this. . .same goes when you see military planes flying over.

It's vital intelligence that shouldn't be so freely spread.

Also the US Marshals deputizing the NG in DC. . . giving them the authority to make arrests for federal crimes.

(If the article I read is correct.)

Assuming you're thinking about the emergency alert system.

The messages you get on your phone are transmitted through the Wireless Emergency Alert System. This system goes through the local cell towers, which AT&T likely control.

If they intended to block messages, they could do so at the tower. . . wouldn't have to push out any phone updates. . . though a phone update might be easier.

This is how they're trained and what they're expected to do in the field.

I wouldn't expect them to sleep in nearby hotels. There isn't exactly space for them to setup camp outside. Sure, they probably could move 7500 cots in, but somehow I doubt the National Guard has that many ready to go for relatively short term deployments like this.

So, you sleep when you can where you can.

We win either way. . .

I am not trying to get on the hopium train, but it could be what Trump is waiting for. . . for Biden to be "officially" sworn in, for the coup to be complete. Sure, then Trump is no longer "officially" President, but the military can still step in and deal with the real insurrectionists given proof, even if that proof comes six months from now.

After law and order is restored, then a new election can be conducted and Trump re-elected. . . .assuming the impeachment doesn't go through or is nullified after the fact.

I don't know who exactly said it, but that was always Trump's plan. To keep the peace as long as possible, exhaust every legal option, giving them the chance to make things right every step of the way.

Now there are no excuses, no more chances. . . lay all the cards out on the table.

I have worked with facial recognition as part of my career, so I can answer some questions. . .

Why the disparity?

In almost all use cases, the algorithms the make up facial recognition focus on picking out various features of the face and comparing the distance and ratios between them. It is easier for the algorithm to pick out these features on a bright image than a dark image.

The facial features of a black person are just less visible on most cameras, especially lower resolution, low quality cameras that would be used for security/surveillance purposes.

Less distinguishable/visible features means that there is less data for the facial recognition algorithm to work with. Therefore, it is significantly less effective at recognizing/distinguishing black people from other black people.

Almost all facial recognition software uses machine learning to either derive or tune the underlying algorithms. The accuracy of these algorithms directly depends on the quantity, quality, and variety of data presented to it for "training". Thus far, this training is usually done using datasets built for research and proof-of-concept purposes, which often includes more easily recognizable (white) faces than those not as easily recognizable. Also, the provided images are usually from volunteers, which, for whatever reason, tend to be white.

Now, there is definitely room to improve these algorithms and come up with facial recognition technology that works to identify everyone without disparity, but people are scared of this- and rightfully so in most cases.

Why would we NEED to face scan people?

If you want to look at it from a law enforcement perspective. . .it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

How many times has a criminal walked free because someone didn't recognize them? In almost all cases, the ability of law enforcement to identify an individual is a subjective process. Facial recognition would be a tool that provides objective results.

For example, I could take a few frames from the security footage of a bank being robbed and compare them to the faces of people in a lineup. Instead of relying on subjective witness testimony that is prone to error and emotions, I could simply use a facial recognition tool to compare them. With proper vetting/certification of the software, it would be damn near impossible to question that identification in court

However, it could be used by corrupt governments or organizations to further their own agendas. . .imagine, you appeared on camera during the rally in DC, well, you were immediately identified and put on the list. . . that is where people should be scared.

Mass surveillance really hasn't been a thing, because there is not enough people watch everything 24/7. . .however, if you turned that over to AI. . .manpower is no longer a problem.

The plan is to wait. . .

You know what is going to be funny. . .suppose Biden does take office. . .just suppose.

Many states are now conducting or saying they're going to conduct forensic audits of the election. These audits lead to investigations, which lead to ding ding conspiracy by the Democratic party, particularly Biden, Kamala, and Pelosi. One by one, they are impeached and removed from office. . .Chuck Grassley refuses for whatever reason. . .and Pompeo becomes President by succession.

It's a long shot, but I don't think it is out of the question.

Watch CNN. . .flip them the bird every time they say something bad about Trump, Republicans, the "Capitol Siege", etc. . .you'll be buff in no time. . .but you may want to double leg day

Those are still just words. . . .when both Biden and Kamala were asked about those topics, they always either avoided the question or played down their agenda, sometimes claiming the opposite of what they said the day before. . .real politicians saying whatever they needed to to get those "votes".

These words were always spun by the mainstream media in support of Biden and to denounce Trump.

I would be willing to bet that a majority of people have absolutely no idea what Biden's actual agenda/policies/beliefs actually are. . .they just believe the narrative of "orange man bad, Biden good".

When they start seeing Biden going forward with his agenda, they are going to wake up real quick. . .hopefully. . .some are already starting to see it with the banning of social media accounts and censorship.

This may be Trump's plan. . .I mean think about it. . .Democrats control everything, if anything goes wrong in the next four years. . .it is all their fault. No scapegoating Republicans/Conservatives then. . .and we now know where some RINOs loyalties lie after the 6th and these impeachment proceedings.

but maybe we go back to politicians never keeping their campaign promises

Exactly. . .I hate playing down a Biden Presidency, but it is very unlikely that even half of the things he has promised will see the light of day. It is easy to make promises during a campaign, but hard to implement when your advisors start telling you that it is impossible or just downright illegal.

Also, I bet you anything that almost every EO Biden does try to pass will- or at least probably should -be injuncted by the courts of red states. They played that game with Trump's EOs, no reason we cannot do the same.

If you remember when Obama was first inaugurated. . .there was a lot of doom and gloom back then too. . . not as much as today, but still we got through those 8 years.

It is through advertisement/promotion deals, and through selling user data. However, to quell some concern there, in almost all cases that is aggregate data that cannot be traced back to the original user. Think keyword searches and a breakdown of active users from specific geographic locations at or around certain times of day.

I work for a company that is processing similar data. . .we are forbidden by contract from targeting or identifying specific users from the data we're given, but can use it for market research, for example, to know which products to push. That isn't to say though that people have always abided by these contracts.

It's a dare to Biden. . .Trumps is daring Biden to repeal/revoke these common sense EOs as it will prove where Biden's loyalties lie and his agenda. . .for the world to see.

the_silent 1 point ago +2 / -1

If we are to assume the most likely scenario, that Biden is inaugurated. . .

It's a dare. . .if Biden starts repealing/revoking common sense EOs people will start questioning Biden's agenda.

Actions speak louder than words.
