Yes, so I've been told. I don't know what to say, so I won't other than that my state is an utter failure. Thanks Kemp! (you pos)
Born in Georgia and lifelong resident, 60 years. I haven't been this ashamed of my home State since 100 years before I was born.
I voted for Doug Collins, have been pissed about Kelly Loeffler (((?))) since he appointed her. We knew right then that Brian Kemp was not a good guy.
I'm disgusted by my State that I used to be fiercely proud of.
I've been preaching this since March to the point my family and friends are sick of hearing about it. Just like they got sick of hearing about Killary's email server for the last five years. I spent a lifetime in IT, and I blew a gasket when that first came out, but no one cared then either. But nobody I know actually got sick from either. The email server was the tripwire for me, because I'd been running them for years.
I really wouldn't worry about it then, you've got good stuff. My front line guns are a pair of wood stocked Browning Auto 5 shotguns, with a Remington 870 as a fallback. My longest shot around here is 100 yards at most, so I alternate #4 and #00 buckshot in the magazines. I'm at the end of a road on a peninsula, so if I have to whip out a .30-06 I'm truly fucked.
I like you, I think like you. I'm an old guy. So yeah, you kinda then need to want something else. In my case, I never got an AR or AK, so have to be happy with what I have. It's funny that it happens to be a Garand and an Inland 1943 carbine, and I bought those at the time because they were cheap.
Find someone who is already a member and get them to buy one for you.
This is funny. Life long 60yo Georgian here, I voted for Doug Collins. Fuck 'em, let's do this.
Yes you have to join a club and prove you're an actual person, as it should be. Unlike this bullshit going on with this election.
Civilian Marksmanship Program. See here... https://thecmp.org/
That's how I got mine, highly recommended.
Make .30-06 Great Again!
edit: I've got one of the last ones ever made, high serial number CMP from 1955. Good for anything in my neck of the woods, and it's an easy round to load for. H4895 and pull down surplus bullets will run all day.
I'm two counties north, on the coast. It's the other blue county down here. I almost wish we had moved to McIntosh, be we both grew up in Liberty so wound up back here because of family and friends.
I've been to LRT, spent two days exploring that battlefield, as well as Sharpsburg and many others around the Southeast. I had two ancestors (brothers) on my father's side from Georgia who fought for the CSA and survived the war. When they enlisted, they made a pact that if they both survived they would never shave again. We have a photo of them as old men with ZZ Top beards to their belly, and we have their "mustache" coffee cups that have a little insert in them to help keep your whiskers out of the liquid. It's a strange feeling handling these mugs, knowing who they belonged to and thinking about the hardships those guys endured.
Maryland was split too.
Georgia pede here, my former best friend voted for Harris/Biden, as did my transplant Yankee brother in law. They are both eat up with the TDS.
I'm not. I was of voting age back in 2000 (had already been for 20 years) and remember well Bush v Gore. The MSM declared Gore the winner then too. I was hoping that we'd fix this shit then so it wouldn't happen again, but here we are, sadly. I believe this will ultimately go to SCOTUS again and on to Trump, but it's going to be a painful end to a painful year. The riots will be epic.
Why'd y'all have to drive to Glynn Co. to vote? Just curious because my next door neighbors are in a similar situation.
Liberty here, the home of Button Gwinnett.
I was born in Slowvannah, lived in the Historic District for 40 years. We just moved away last year and retired down the coast. I spent the last 20 years dreaming of the day I'd cross the county line on the way out for the last time. The place was fun back in the 80's and 90's, but lately I didn't even want to leave my house, and never would unarmed.
My son just moved to Austin after two years in Wimberley. Before that he lived his entire life in a medium sized city in the deep South. This is pretty much what he describes to me.
Yellow Labs Matter! (Yellow labs are great dogs...)
I don't have an AK or an AR, but I do have a Garand with a couple of cans of loaded en bloc clips. I'll keep what I have.
