Thanks Pede, I've got no reason to stop now.
Not in Georgia, it's a Weapons Carry License, whatever you want to call that. I think it's all doodly squat.
I'm tired of the bullshit. I don't need a reason anymore.
Hell, you don't actually have to be telling the truth. The entire point about a concealed weapon is I ain't showing it to you, if they ask. I've never had one ask, or say anything else.
Mine is "It's a class III Felony to wear a mask while carrying a concealed weapon." It shuts them down every time.
Yes but use these in .30-30 instead. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thompson/Center_Contender
I was a Central Office technician from 1979-1983 for a local Independent telco running a Stomberg Carlson XY switch. When I started there, everything was electro mechanical, with about a 10K line capacity. I have tinitus to this day because of the noise. By 1981 we quadrupled capacity by installing Northern Telecom digital switches that took up a fraction of the space and made very little noise. I left the phone company to go to school for IT, and just recently retired as a data center/infrastructure admin for a semi major university. I've seen a lot of changes in 40 years, but one thing has remained pretty constant--big generators and lots of batteries.
Thanks. I took a look yesterday, looks pretty similar. I doubt I'll be signing up right away though.
Thanks. TDW is for sure my home now, even though it's felt that way for some time.
"They've shot the Tsar, and all his family. What's it all for?!"
"To show there is no going back."
I signed up during the Ellen Pao schism on reddit, had an alpha tester badge I was mildly proud of, and a good overall score (I'm not nearly the poster that some folks are). When TDW opened up I joined here and slowly stopped visitng Voat, but would still drop in a couple of times a week, mostly on the weekends. Yesterday afternoon was one of those days, and I initially thought it was a hack until I read Putt's message. I will miss my friends over there, and especially Friday Night Guitar Party and Sunday Gunday.
My point exactly. I'm 60 years old and folks have been dying from influenza all my life. My entire immediate family came down with the Hong Kong flu in late 1968, as well as about a third of my small home town. We were sick as dogs, and didn't close down shit.
We have an elderly neighbor (80+) who is in the hospital on a respirator right now, and her even older husband went to the ER today with a fever. Everyone in the neighborhood is freaking out about it as an example that the scamdemic is real (first illness that any of us have had) and we can't be around each other. I've tried countering with your same logic, but even my conservative wife doesn't want to hear it. It's frustrating.
I worked for an eight county health department district for 16 years. I didn't get to retire from there because 16 years of stupid was all I could take.
You might be surprised, every conservative I know either will be voting or already has. My wife has already voted, and I will be voting in the morning. We have no confidence our votes will be tallied fairly, but we're still fired up and voting anyway. None of my neighbors have taken down their Trump signs/flags yet.
I bought two of the king size firm pillows. Best pillows I've ever slept on, and I've had some good ones.
I could use a ride.
Stupid question I know, but will you be coming up I-95 through Georgia? And is your car already full?
I am that old, grew up in the 60's & 70's. I still have my Napster collection too.
I grew up in a zip code that no longer exists, 31317.
Dang, beat me to it.
"If they survive." They won't, per se, but they'll shape shift into a completely different company we know nothing about and do it again.
I used to use the Solar Winds suite at a previous job and liked it, it really helped me keep an eye on things over the eight counties I was responsible for. In my last job hovever, we are/were using PRTG instead. I retired from there in October and haven't checked in lately, but I know those guys are breathing a sigh of relief.
Can confirm, I was shooting a .410 at about that age, graduated to a 12 gauge around 6th grade and killed my first deer. I didn't own a rifle of any kind until I was married though, didn't need one where I grew up.
Thank you, agreed. I voted for Doug Collins, who should have been appointed to the seat Loeffler was given by our (now known) corrupt governor...who I voted for because I thought Stacey Abrams was so bad. At least she doesn't lie about her values.
Edit: I early voted last Tuesday in person, using the same corrupt machines I used in the general election. Was not a fulfilling experience.
