I'm not going to argue that specific Jews have come to power in varying fields, but it's also undeniable that Jews are on both sides of American politics even with publications. I'm not in control of any media and don't know any who are. The situation with the mother who defended her family has nothing to do with Jews. First and foremost, you do whatever you think is right for you in your life. If you have looked through the religions and found something that resonates better with you, I'm happy you've found peace

Please don't generalize about the rest. Do I know some Jews like what you say? Of course. Do I know people of any race, religion, creed, etc like that? SO MANY MORE. There are "good" and "bad" in any group, and you can find the same with Baptists or any sect of Christianity. Judge people as people, keep the religion separate. This post alone can be seen as narcissistic and self righteous, if you want to take on a new chapter in your life practice what you preach. Realize that "your kind" might not be Jews as a whole. People can find issues with any religion, easy to see how some sects of Christianity have twisted the Jewish teachings of Jesus. People mess up a lot of things haha

Lots of Jews here in the states are for Trump, and more are getting unplugged from the media and learning the good he does. You don't have to think a certain way due to a religion, sounds like your parents just don't want to learn new perspectives. Many Jew-ish Jews might be the ones you're used to, but the Jewish people maybe not
