Perhaps more to the point, if the coof were actually a pandemic-worthy virus, I wouldn't hesitate to take even a rushed vaccine. The issue is the risk equation. It makes no sense to take something with a low chance of threats to my health to maybe sorta protect against the .2% chance of dying from a really bad cold. Now, if it were Ebola, a low chance of health issues from the vaccine is obviously a better risk than getting a virus with a 40-60% fatality rate.
