Why was Trump hated by the vast majority of DC? Because his "populist" (reason/common sense) policies would have put tens if not hundreds of thousands of people out of work. Salaries, benefits, pensions, entire careers, would have gone poof. On the frivolous side of things, their communities and networks would have been gutted. Entire lives would be flushed If the laws were followed, a small number of them would have gone to jail, and a minority of that group would have been executed.
