German Scientists get bonus credibility score, it's just a matter of fact. There's a good German doctor analysing Covid as well, putting the hysteria to rest.

lol, the defense will just use the fact that he bashed her in the face for why she stopped and opened the door.

this is a reddit subreddit, this isn't court. the defense that she was dazed by being punched in the head sounds safe to me.

He could make a good argument. Why are protests allowed but church is closed? He didn't ask Fauci that.

for a lot of moderates this would make them sympathetic to Fauci. It was a golden opportunity to publicly demonstrate the overreach and heavy hand of liberalism, but yelling and moving away from reasoned debate squandered the moment. Stay within the reasoned grounds and you win against a disingenuous bully in that format.

Jordan should have expected that answer, as a matter of rules it is not Fauci's position. Just as it isn't Barr's place to save Obamacare or not, as a lawyer. This is just banging one's head against a wall, and won't persuade as many as possible. Raising your voice almost to yelling in a hearing also is only good if used sparingly, not every single time you are trying to signal your superiority.

Benghazi hearing all over again. Loud noises and no progress on anything anywhere.

Jordan would have known that Fauci won't openly attempt to order protests off limits. He would have known Fauci has plausible cover, as he knows Fauci himself does not make the rules. How does he not have a follow up question that draws a line from Fauci's "recommendations" to the laws that get put in place that his constituents have to live under.

I agree. Whether you agree or not, he's already legitimate in the eyes of the state. He isn't there to give personal takes. Jordan is making him look sympathetic here, demanding he make a statement that is by all accounts outside the jurisdiction of his position. If you want to make headway address the positions he is allowed to comment on.

I don't believe he will, but it's a good question because it gets to a lot of other questions about the nature of leadership in our country, if it's even possible to take command by winning a vote, others.

you've written about the negation of particular White European cultures in the US recently, and their subsumption into a broader whole. without state projections into the lives of normal people and communities, I believe this homogenization would have likely not progressed to levels today, if at all. since the state from conventional methods of thinking has had an interest in this progression (towards uniformity and national consciousness), is it foreseeable a new understanding of statecraft in the 21st century arises to update this way of thinking, such that the well being of the nation is understood as not at ends with the "un-homogenized" particulars? The grounding for this being the self evidently demonstrated fact that overly homogenized, atomized, individuals do not even perpetuate the species? thank you.
