Meh.
We pay taxes and our taxes go into the system that will eventually pay our unemployment if we get laid off, or disability if I can't work. And i have a first time home buyer's credit on my first home that gives me about 2k a year. That doesn't make me any less of an American and there's no reason why those things make me less qualified to participate in the process of choosing my representative.
Now, I'd gladly revoke my unemployment/disability/tax credits/etc if we eliminated taxes.
There would be a lot to have to dismantle in the system in order to get to that spot where I'd agree with your sentiment.
Chicago channel 5 showed his press conference for about 5 minutes, cut away, and said they showed the conference expecting that he'd talk about kamala harris and since he was talking about other things, they didn't want to show it.
How do any conservatives work for these stations and not go absolutely nuts?
what exactly is excessive force? watch the tape. he actually begged not to be in the car and said he'd rather lay on the ground. He got his wish. If anything, the police SHOULD have "excessively" forced him in the car.
Typical trump, 500 steps ahead. Instead of crying and whining about being censored, as the media will portray him anyway, what he actually did was essentially say:
"OK it's fine that you censored me, that's your right as a PUBLISHER to do so. And you will be treated as such."
He gave plenty of warnings. Shit's moving now.
They're quiet because after the impeachment hoax, trump was going to win 2020 in a landslide even in the fake news polls.
They realize their only hope is to fuck the economy up enough to piss people off, and shut the fuck up. That's why biden's been in his basement and he hasn't mentioned the impeachment at all.
You'd think if you were running against a president who JUST GOT IMPEACHED this year, you might want to mention that in at least one of your stump speeches or ads. That's the main reason all of the players have been silent. It's a sure fire loser.
I'm super conflicted on shit like this. On one hand I'm a huge advocate of "what's public is public", which is an idea that I have that means anything that happens in the public view and is captured by public means, should be available to the public for review. I know and understand that would be a huge shift in how we view "privacy" but private is the opposite of public. When you're in public, you should have no expectation of privacy.
On the other hand, releasing evidence before the trial can cause problems if you're trying to ensure that the accused have a fair trial.... Which is something that all Americans should want.
Super conflicted although I'd lean towards "what's public is public".
Makes sense. I was reading an article yesterday about what happens when sportsbooks fuck up and take bets for a game that's already been decided. Some people take advantage and will throw a couple hundred when they see the bet is still open.
So the sportsbooks will give you a choice. 1) they honor the bet and pay the loss, but if you want your winnings you have to agree to be banned forever from the casino. or 2) give the money back.
This sounds similar. I'm down with it. Except the payments are also voluntary, meaning every white person can throw how much money they want into a gofundme and then anyone who wants their "reparation" can take a percentage and then FOH.
I'm referring to the process. People to this day still wonder how the Nazi's got so much power and persuaded "good people" to do such bad things.
The process is the same. They're using propaganda and symbolism. Erasing good history. Forcing their critics into hiding. Censoring and oppressing their political opponents. Etc
Stuff like this doesn't do shit. What's needed is money/advertisements in her area. Honest ones, not sugar coated. As much as most of us hate her, we need to appreciate, respect, and understand our republic and honor the voting system. She IS an elected official, because WE voted her in.
Unless they impeach her (they won't), our only recourse is to vote her out.
I've spoken with way too many people who don't understand the difference between elected officials vs people who can be fired.
is there a source for this? i'd love to post this on some people's facebook posts if I can verify it's real
