I know we are calling this a "CYA" email but to me it's the smoking gun email showing proof of a deep state. There is no other honest conclusion. I was mixed when I first heard that she was leaving for CBS.
Happy because yes I knew she'd reach a larger audience this way and because she is a GREAT journalist. She brings shit unbiased and professional, which was the norm 20 years ago but is rare as fuck today.
But I was not so happy because i know that CBS would stifle her.
Nowhere did I say that I disapprove of how she's handling dissemination of news. That isn't my issue at all. I love how she reports, all around.
I am not privy to anything about her personally.
But common sense and basic critical thinking skills, which I feel I'm above average at, are telling me that this is not going to end well for us. Us being the people who do want this news covered fairly.
I don't believe CBS is fair and i think they're going to railroad her.

TBH the timing is the least shady thing about this.
I can envision her packing up her shit on her last day, looking through her draft emails that were meeting notes but never sent, and then sending them to make sure they're collected on the govt server.
I can picture it cause I do that kind of thing. I keep meeting notes in my outlook drafts and sometimes forget to send to myself. When you shut your pc off, it goes into draft and you don't see them until you make the effort to check.
