First: Does their "ongoing analysis and and emerging data" pertain to the use of JUST hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine OR hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine PLUS zinc and/or Z-Pac? Big difference. I don't think anybody is claiming that JUST HCQ or CQ works alone. ...And BTW, this is exactly the kind of con the dems like to pull, lying by omission.
Second: "showed no benefit for decreasing the likelihood of death or speeding recovery" OK, show me data on when the drugs were given to patients. Were they taken early on, which has been effective when combined with zinc and/or Z-pac or where they taken 2,3,4,5 weeks after infection, where it doesn't work so well? it makes a difference.
Third: "This outcome was consistent with other new data" Oh yeah, what data? The completely made up studies that the media and other dems are pushing? I see a lot of studies out there that talk about HCQ and CQ being used with or without other drugs and yes, many of them come to the conclusion that it doesn't work very well. But you know what? I'm not defending the shadiness of the situation but using some of the donations to pay salaries and other operating expenses is standard for any charity. Their only mistake here is at one point claiming that 100% would go to the cause. Not sure why they did that when they could have said 99% or 95%. which would still make it an very efficient non-profit. Most non-profits aren't even close to that.
Also lets not look over the fact that the SDNY has a real hard-on for Trump and his allies. This is a highly selective political prosecution. If I saw them treating democrat run non-profits the way they do conservative ones, I wouldn't have an issue with them going after the latter. But they don't...so it's an issue.
So far they have gone/going after:Trump University, Michael Cohen (also violated client attorney privilege in this case), Trump's Tax Returns, Build the wall non-profit, and Trumps charities.
