agree with all those. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAISE_Act refer the table of the raise act. it covers english proficiency, US higher education, extraordinary achievements, weatlh/salary(should be self-sufficient) or be investing in the US, should be net givers to the US vs takers. I think some of the points in the raise act can be improved, made more stringent and tight but its a step in the right direction. but the left will not let this pass. its so obvious and all developed countries do this
higher preference for u patents using a points based immigration system. this is standard practice in lot of countries like Japan, and some aspects were in the points table that geotus proposed in the RAISE act which was dead on arrival
the best are net job creators. ur not looking at the cause, ur looking at the effect. the cause is that we stopped learning, doing advance degrees, stopped doin maths/science/tech. if u dont see it ur lying to urself. we need to maga when we did science n tech
is this https://voxeu.org/article/global-race-inventors figure1, good for us or not ?
we are talking about very different jobs. my friends daughter is a sourcing recruiter at google, many senior jobs take 9-12months to fill if not more. first im not defending h1b, im saying we should make the standard higher and pool much smaller but at the very very top there IS A SHORTAGE OF SKILLSET. these jobs dont get filled

we can. we need a points system with a threshold(cutoff) and more points for english language ability, US higher education, weatlh/salary, investments into the us, extraordinary world level achievement. the raise act that geotus floated was a good step https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAISE_Act (refer the points table) but left wont let it pass
