That's actually a misquote.
I still like it though.
"The best has yet to come".
This is it, people. We've entered... the endLARP.
The fraud was a really shitty botched job (we literally have video evidence). It was the coverup that went well.
His COVID reaction was perfectly reasonable tbh. Lock down travel and try to reduce the exposure to foreign countries. If anything that part should have locked down harder with enforced quarantines on people entering the country, etc. Imagine how much money it'd save as there would be zero reason to restrict almost anything internally in the country, even from the left wing perspective. It was the dems who went full "nothing's wrong, go hang out in Chinatown".
Agree with the rest, though.
And you also forgot... not getting on alternative conservative media platforms and building them up from the beginning of his presidency. But these things are forgivable to a degree, stabbing his base in the back not so much.
Ah yes. Old but good.
Yeah that's why I said "if/when Xiden goes into office". It's on Trump until he's out. It's on us after.
If patriots don't take shit into their own hands if/when Xiden goes into office, then you can't even blame Trump. Then it's all on you.
NP, anything for the feds.
You're reading too much into it. 1984 was a scathing condemnation of the Soviet Union. It's just that commies who have been set up in the US by the Union decades ago are now having their plans come to fruition. It's just a coincidence that 1984 applies more and more to the US. Because the people who Orwell criticized are the ones who orchestrated the current direction the US is taking. Orwell wasn't American as well, just to make it absolutely obvious.
Yes don't question your overlord. Trust in your betters and obey.
It means your account is very new. That's where calling people "handshakes" come from. I try not to judge people just because they joined late (heck I'm not that old myself), but it's a red flag someone is a shill and/or brigadier.
I'll give Trump 3 more days. But if the inauguration goes off without a hitch for Xiden then this applies to Trump, not the people who drop him like a hot potato. Him losing in the end is one thing, but how he threw his supporters under the bus is inexcusable unless it is him pretending while doing something in the background. If Trump had gone "The worst thing that happened at the Capitol was how they shot an unarmed patriot and supporter of mine. BLM riots were a thousand times worse. Fake news. SAD.", then I'd have stuck with him no matter what.
It says so on Wiki as well. Now the Citogenesis is in full effect.
It's a non-issue, but it's a very real non-issue. I know people like that. "His rhetoric is bad"=>all they need.
I imagine you'd have most Americans liking what he's doing, because most of the shit he does makes sense and is good politically speaking. Maybe not perfect, but incomparable to earlier modern presidents.
You'd have a tiny minority of pearl clutchers hating him for his attitude (grab them by the... etc.).
You'd have a number of people who still don't like him due to honest policy disagreements.
You'd have tribals who never like him no matter what due to what color his title is in (this goes for presidents of either party).
I imagine his approval rating would be something like 60% at least.
I'm looking at Rasmussen right now and it says 48% approval 52% disapproval, or -7 approval rating (strongly approve minus strongly disapprove). I'm not sure where this 51.7% comes from.
That said even that rating is impressive for being under such coordinated propaganda attacks.
Np, discussion is always good :)
I'm not gonna speculate as to COVID in particular. Could be lab, could not. But the question initially was a reason what makes the Chinese wet markets extraordinary when it comes to being "virus centers". Some of the reasons I gave was that they have a LOT more people (like a fifth of the world population), they have a lot of wild animals in cages there, terrible hygiene, etc.
You can do it in the lab, yes. But viruses mutate on their own as well. It doesn't have to be in a lab (and if it is in a lab, they can either do it by waiting for it to mutate on it's own, or explicitly editing the virus brute force style. It depends on the intentions of the scientists and what they are trying to do/find out).
Anything with RNA/DNA can mutate on it's own (in humans white skin and being able to drink the milk of cows are the results of mutations, for example), although with viruses you will see it happen a lot more rapidly.
Even in your human body you see trillions of mutations per day on a typical day (although these are mostly totally harmless and don't really affect anything, but that's kind of how you eventually end up with cancer or something if you live long enough). And RNA viruses (which COVID is, for example) mutate extremely rapidly, up to a million times faster than their hosts.
So if you have a perfect environment that is extremely unhygienic and with a ton of animals being in close proximity to humans you are essentially just running a clock until at some point it happens. The more people and animals, and the "better" the conditions are (for the virus) the faster it's likely happen.
Kek on the internet is waaay older than the_donald. There are two things I'd consider sources (although there's probably even older shit I've missed):
- "Kek" is the equivalent to "lol" in korean
- As far as the west is concerned, in World of Warcraft, if you were playing Alliance and a member of the Horde wrote "lol" in their language, you'd read it as "kek" (because your character wouldn't know their langage).
What? No it doesn't. Where on earth did you get that idea? It's just unlikely to happen, but by increasing the numbers enough you turn a low likelihood into an eventuality. Look up Zoonotic diseases and Cross-species transmission.
I mean it's not even said by Thucydides. It was said by Sir William Francis Butler in Charles George Gordon (1889). And the actual quote is "The nation that will insist on drawing a broad line of demarcation between the fighting man and the thinking man is liable to find its fighting done by fools and its thinking done by cowards.".
