I was there, just outside of the capitol and didn't even hear the gun shot. Just saw the paramedics and cops taking someone out on a stretcher. Then a few empty water bottles were thrown at the cops in riot gear as they walked back inside the capital. Saw no one fighting cops, but there was a weird silence in the crowd with some people yelling at the cops. Some people thought it was a rubber bullet that hit her in a bad spot, but you could see blood drops on the concrete where they had wheeled her out. Definitely a turning point in my life seeing that and being apart of that rally. I'll never forget it and I'll never forget this women. Capital rally was not even close to a domestic terror incident and honestly, until I saw the way people were reacting on the news, I was planning on bragging to my liberal friends about the whole event. I've been apart of more dangerous riots at college and during sporting events. This event was clearly patriots taking a non violent stand against fraud and corruption and if I had to go back I'd do it all over again.
Just wanted to say that I was there at the capitol. I'm a mild mannered patriot who felt injustice when no audit was conducted. I think it was perfectly reasonable for people to storm the capitol, given that no one was beating the crap out of cops or law enforcement. If you notice, patriots let 3 unarmed police leave the doorway before Ashley tried to climb through the window and was shot. Do you think domestic terrorists would give a damn about waiting for the cops to move? Why aren't there videos of patriots fighting police? To anyone who thinks the capitol takeover was unjustified I hope you recognize the truth.

My whole family got it a few months ago. It makes you feel like shit for a week so I’d say it’s definitely stronger than the flu. That being said both my parents are 65 ish and were fine. And while they were sick they were still up and about doing things around the house. There was no point I was worried about anyone dying.

Easiest option is probably to park in Arlington, just off from the metro stop in the residential area where it’s free and then walk five minutes to the metro. Then it’s just two dollars for a metro card and another 2 to get you to dc.
