You go ahead and "riderate" Joe. Here in TX, our numbers are dropping, our businesses are open, and we are feeling good.

My dad has Alzheimers. Back when he could still speak clearly, he would do this literal thing anytime he got confused or lost his train of thought.

You know you're ugly when even covering half your face doesn't help.

North Ft Worth pede here. We never lost power, thanks to being on the hospital grid. Our water treatment plant went down, so that was it for our water. Thankfully I had a Costco amount of bottled water. Our neighbor shared her pool water for toilets. I was melting snow for it before she offered. I tried to keep our thermostat low, and we were very thankful for our fireplace. I know many around us had no power or water. We were lucky, and reminded just how strong and adaptive Texans can be. Any of us that are multi generation Texans have the pioneer spirit in our blood, and know complaining doesn't fix the problem. So, find a temporary way to deal with the problem, until we can address the bigger issue. We checked on neighbors constantly, especially the cute little widow lady down the street. She didn't have bottled water. Once someone learned that, she probably had more than anyone else.
