When i was in college, i didnt pay attention to what I was really signing. I thought that my job (military) was going to cover the tuition 100% because they offered tuition assistance while I was active duty.
Apparently my college was a little more expensive than I realized.
Anyway, I graduate and I just go about my business. Then I started getting these letters in the mail saying that I owe the school 8k for the tuition the military didnt cover.
Took me a good while, but i managed to pay it off. It was a lesson learned and i'm a little more aware of how universities vs community colleges work. In the real world, no one really gives a shit where you got your degree, as long as you're competent enough to do the job.

I live in central Texas. Every time there is a hurricane, we just get rain.
We have flash floods, but I live on a hill and this area has never flooded.
The only thing I would say is a big weather issue would be tornados. But I havent seen one of those in years. Last one that was here was like 6 or 7 years ago. Never lost power, just some nasty rain.
