Most of us will stay home and sleep it off. I never go to the doctor. Whenever I have a kidney stone I buy a 12 pack and a bottle of Jack and piss that fucker out.

I dunno. I’ve already had it and recovered and in all honesty I can see older people really having a hard time with it. I’m in my 40s and pretty much didn’t know what was going on for two days. I imagine people my mother’s age will have a hard time with it.

I’m not being negative I’m only being honest.

My family and I had it almost a month ago. I think we got it while staying at a hotel in Colorado. Anyways, when it hits you, you’re going to go down for a a day or two. Sleep it off and you’ll be fine.

There’s no need to go to the doctor unless you have a secondary condition that will cause problems. Go buy lots of gatorade, make sure someone else knows you may be ill and get ready to lose a couple of days in sleeping it off. It’s brutal if you’re older, but if you’re young you should have nothing to worry about.

I had it last month.

I’ll answer questions.

Buy some Gatorade, clear your calendar and take it easy. It'll take a few days, but you'll get over it if you do get it.

I'm pretty sure my family and I had it on the 17th of last month. Overall it took over two weeks for everyone to get back to good health.

At first I had what felt like a slight sore throat lower down near my collar bone/upper sternum area. That lasted a few days until I suddenly crashed with a very high fever (102-104). I went from pretty much normal (besides the throat thing) to on the floor in a matter of hours.

I slept/was bed ridden for over nearly 48 hours and didn't eat for over 24 hours. I had to force my self to eat, because I knew it was the only way I would recover. I had a terrible dry cough (former smoker) that wouldn't stop. If I wasn't sleeping I was coughing. I coughed so much my abdominal muscles hurt for days after.

My wife and kids were ill too, with my wife having a 104 temperature and kids in the high 90s low 100s.

I felt tired/down for nearly two weeks after. We self-isolated for nearly a month (I work from home) and I have not been tested, because I don't like getting authorities involved unless there’s a really good reason to.
