Stitt hasn’t signed it yet, but I imagine he will. He’ll get a lot of pressure from certain groups and a few leftist members of our state government, but they’re so few it doesn’t make any difference. We hold not just a super majority, but what I like to call a super duper majority. The republicans will override a veto, if there is one, which I say again I doubt he’ll veto it. I did hear through the grapevine that a few of what little BLM types we have might protest for the sake of protest if he does sign the bill, but like any other protest for leftist causes here, it will be short lived. It’s not just our state government, the people here don’t put up with it. In general, leftists are not well regarded here, obviously by the republicans, but an overwhelmingly majority of the centrist democrats as well.

I know his is not going to buy me a lot of points here, If we believe in the rights of private businesses and private property rights then we should be consistent. I don’t like it anymore than anyone else on this board, but we’re not the left, we don’t change the rules as we go to benefit ourselves. I personally think wearing a mask is an exercise in stupidity, but If I go into a privately owned business and they require one, then I’m left with two options.

Surely this is some sort of parody. I can’t imagine a world where someone has so little self-awareness... wait.... damn...😔🙁

He should go to prison, but he’ll never even be in a courtroom. It’s all theatre. The “investigations” are all fake, he’ll cut some back room deal with the machine to fall on the sword and go away for a while all to deflect from and protect the other blue state tyrants and give the wakadoodle leftists the opportunity to subvert another election and install their preferred candidate into the governors office of New York... then the cycle begins all over again.

You must be new here, the only time The Hill was ever “based” was when John Solomon worked there and would publish various pieces, but they fired him.

Former LEO here, If you really want to change policing, get rid of qualified immunity.

Sorry, it’s the Johns Hopkins, Bloomberg School of Public Health “ghost gun” survey.

I can be neighbors with a classical liberal, we effectively want the same time thing when you really get down to it, just to be left alone by the government. Just a few differences on how to get there.

Can confirm, live in OKC, has all but been memory holed, no significant local coverage. A few articles here and there on local news outlet websites, but you have to look for them. No longer front page news.

I think the only way it would work is if he allowed BLM to co-opt it to some degree, the elites would never demonize their precious blm, they still need them to be their useful idiot soldiers.

Since he’s a republican, and Wall Street is effectively the Democrat party, they’ll all be called domestic terrorist by the end of the weekend. Mark my words.

Yeah I am being sarcastic, but not totally. I have no intention of running for office because it’s effectively pointless. However, I am somewhat involved in a campaign locally to help a candidate for a local position I like get elected. That’s truly the best way. Get involved locally, go to the city council meetings, ask questions. Be persistent and make them answer. Schedule meetings and talk with your local officials. Local elections affect you the quickest and the most often.

Great, now the mob will come after USAA, I guess we’ll see if they fold or stand strong. I’ve been using USAA for almost 30 years, even before I joined the military, since I was a dependent at the time. They’re the best bank I’ve ever dealt with. So I suppose we’ll see if they continue to get my business by how they react to the mob when it inevitably attacks them.

I’m not a huge fan or personalized plates (former Leo) but that’s pretty cool. I hope they get approved, but honestly, I wouldn’t hold my breathe on approval, as you’re effectively at the mercy of a government employee as to wether or not they approve your personalized plate application.

She’s a nut job, but every now and again, the three remaining brain cells she has left will rub together and she’ll come up with a coherent thought, but then again, so will my 7lb long haired wiener dog, and he’s a dog. I typically don’t care what people that pretend to be other people for a living think about anything.

This is an easy one for you Wheels and Paxton... “ I am ordering all state Law Enforcement to take into custody any municipal or county official that violate my previous executive order by enforcing an illegal order from the mayor of Austin.” It’s literally that simple Wheels, get it done.

2
thupertheriousth 2 points ago +2 / -0

Well wheels, what the hell are you gonna do about it? Are you just gonna complain on Twitter... or are you gonna man up and drop the hammer on that mayor.

Mandatory minimum 4 years civil service of some sort. I did a hitch before I went to college and was by far the oldest person in my classes, and likely the most mature. Plus, an enhanced GI Bill would eliminate a lot of student loans and debt.

At 17, soon to be 18, she SHOULD has the cognitive ability to understand that she’s being used, otherwise her parents have failed her. I suspect she does not, and is somewhat behind her peers in regards to social and psychological development. He parents are complicit, they’re using an obviously impaired teenage girl with a limited ability to communicate to make themselves wealthy. If that’s not child abuse, I don’t know what is.

I'm not voting for Lankford anymore. I'm done with him. If crazy eyes Broyles decides to run again, for his seat this time, you won't be able to tell them apart, by both policy and physical appearance.

This is just wealth redistribution, but with extra steps. These are the types of things we should be against. It’s basically accepting that the government has the authority to shut down business in the first place, and then have the authority to tell a business what they can and can’t sell and for how much. This is the opposite of a free market system.
