I don't think there is an accurate way to just say 3/4 of the party is Christian. There are a lot of classical liberals and paleo-conservatives that tend to be non-religious. Then you have to think of all the people who call themselves Christian but in reality it is just something people claim because it is kind of the culture in certain areas. Their understanding of Christianity is so thin, it pretty much boils down to the believe Jesus is the son of God. They don't know any of the theology or principles, not because they are bad Christians but because they don't apply it at all in their everyday lives. They don't tend to follow social conservatism.
Official religion is a matter of State but the corporate Parties are arguably de facto apparatuses of the State. My point was more to constitutional principles of not creating law based off of religious faith but in the name of liberty.

I'm live in Missouri, not only have I seen those laws, it isn't the first time it has been done in our State, it has been done many times prior when Obama was president.
