I am thinking maybe I should liquidate my mutual funds in my IRA before the SHTF? Then buy back in when the dust settles. If these hedge funds have to cover their shorts it is going to cause havoc throughout the market. What good does it do to wipe out the hedge funds if it also wipes out my IRA?

Mitch and the rest of the RINOs are perfectly comfortable being the minority party. They want the same things as the Democrats but they can tell their constituents that they voted against it. Thus guaranteeing their reelection. It is all one big scam, Trump exposed the scam. That is why both parties colluded to get rid of him. A third party is a bad idea. We need patriots to primary RINOs and take over the Republican party. That is the only way to gain power.
I was a member of that union for 20+ years. I can tell you, the leadership DOES NOT speak for the members. The members tell leadership what they want to hear, but that does not reflect how they vote when they are alone in the booth.
Not like they couldn't have known before hand. Having been in a trade union I can tell you it is only the leadership who supports Democrats. If you talk to the rank and file members they are MAGA/conservative.
Public service and teacher unions are a different story.
