Yo. IoT devices have incredibly bad security. So if you have one on your network, hackers can potentially compromise the smart device to gain access to the rest of your network.
Smart assistants like Alexa's and Homes are just terrible. So the way they work is you speak to them, they send the data off to some server to be decrypted, and then the server sends a response back. Every once in a while employees override the system and listen to the audio to verify the right result is being returned. So you basically have a recording device for Big Brother in your home. Stay away from anything smart.
Not sure about the validity, but a twitter comment was saying that the navy does exercises along routes running just off the island. Could be to monitor those exercises, just like the chinese owned ranch in Texas beside an air base?

Our provincial government is the most Conservative in the country (our version of Republicans), but they cucked. They mandated you have to wear a mask anywhere in the Province, and you can't have "social gatherings" anywhere out in public, or your own home.
I wish we had your constitution. Our Charter of Rights and Freedoms allows the rights to be suspended if "a state of emergency [is] officially proclaimed by government". The difference between being a citizen, and a subject.

Unfortunately some dude here was arrested by police after the store employees called the police (They told him to wear a mask or leave). Dude couldn't wear a mask because of valid medical reasons. Was trying to explain that to the cop. Cop wouldn't have any of it. Got arrested.
