Not unless he ends up doing something heroic that makes up for the backstabbing.

Pence knew he wasn't going to do jack shit about rejecting electoral votes, yet he let it seem like he was. Then he decides to release a statement effectively saying "psych!" right before objections were going to be made triggering the rush into the capitol.

This gave the excuse for some not to object and for them to vote no on hearing and having the debates on the objections where the actual data could actually heard by the general public instead of the propaganda.

Also Pence should have known people would be pissed and made sure they had the appropriate security. The mayor made a dumbass or malicious decision to keep it light.

Yet Trump is blamed and Pence is the new hero to the establishment so wont get hounded.

Everyone on the right should be screaming about this and demanding answers.

Both sides are being played. Trump is being played whenever he denounces the radical left. The radical left is being played. They are not the real enemy, but whenever you try to fight them and their ideology, all you do is make them more and more solidified as an enemy.

The real solution is to listen to them, understand their problems, include them in discussion and then point out the real enemies and hold the line.

That should eventually cause them to lose the enthusiasm in attacking you and everyone will start thinking more clearly.

The media unfortunately stirs things up and makes this much harder to accomplish, but I think the left might finally realize the media is not their friend if the above is followed.

Edit: I don't mean that the rioters aren't the enemy but that the people who listen to fake news and agree with them are and are the ones to talk to.

Remember this when some sanctimonious asswipe makes a big deal about bullshit or gets mad at you for questioning something.
