NY has become hell. Me and mine are potentially looking to move to TN in the next year or 2. Solid 60% republican. I will say though, NY has been moving steadily more republican every year, we went 4 points higher than 2016 to Trump in 2020.

Good, hopefully he shelves the project completely. My neighbors at my old house were black and I overheard them complaining about all the salvery/racism movies "isn't there any other topics they could focus on for black people? Why is slavery always being shoved in our face?"

Sometimes I feel like I'm watching one of those movies where the girl gets kidnapped and first she's dragged from her bed and chloroformed and doesn't really fight because she's in shock, then she's in the trunk of a car and when the kidnapper takes her out she pretends to be asleep "biding her time to escape." Then she's carried through the house, still faking sleep, her heart pounding, any minute now she will fight, she will run! Then she's placed in a basement where her captor exits scene. She looks around, no windows, steel door, nothing but a cot and a bucket. There will be no more chances to escape, she is 100% dependent on her captor for food/entertainment/physical touch... kinda feels like we're all waiting for that chance but that steel door is starting to close.
Got into a debate with friend about this. My belief is that people who want to cut off their limbs have body dysmorphia..some people want to cut off their arms, blind themselves, some hate their penis. Her rebuttal is that they don't just want to chop off their penises they want to add things too (like brrast implants) and many people get plastic surgery so it's not the same thing.
Is it just me or would this deter you from attending this college? Half the point of college is to spend time with other young people you find attractive/desirable... I'm not attracted to poc or foreigners (I hate accents) therefore if I was 18 I'd probably look for a college that had more attractive potential mates and more potential for fun.

My adorable early twenties sister is on dating app, I was watching her swipe one day and yelled "hey stop, you're skipping all these cute guys. Give one a chance!" There are anti trust laws, tax incentives, religious equality, health requirements...and so on. No business in the US is operating purely at the owners discretion. My friends own restaurants in NY and they have been fined 10k+ and/or lost their liquor license to random SLA whims. The rooftop bar was open for 3 months and inspected multiple times then randomly the SLA decided it wasn't ventilated enough and seized their liquor license which they then had to pay out the a$$ to get back. No warning. Do businesses have the right to decide to refuse service based on customers being "inpure"? And should that "right" be supported by a corrupt gov that uses police/SLA/health codes to force businesses to act the way it wants them to?
By all means enlighten us to your activism. You must be leading the charge right? I donate to my local candidates, volunteer my time, and joined every local club. Fact is if you're pushing for violence people only get violent when they're literally hungry. Right now everyone is too comfortable, jobs, food and entertainment will have to go before people grab pitchforks.

I always wonder this though- the sheep are the first to get the vaccine. Those are the types of citizens the elites want, unquestioning obedient npcs. If the vaccine kills, why would they kill their base?
At the same time, I don't think they have sophisticated enough technology to create a virus that would target the unvaxxed, they would not be able to control it. If anyone has any insights I'd be all ears.

Both my husband's and my best friends grandma got their second jabs this week (neither knows the other and both are around 80)...both fell this week. Husband grandma got dizzy, fell, broke arm and nose. Friends grandma either oxygen or blood pressure went wild and she passed out. Both were hospitalized. No idea if it's vaccine related but it's pretty crazy for two old people to have collapses same week of getting their vax.

Tried to go back to the catholic church in my neighborhood after having my daughter a year ago - I kid you not the uninspiring stuttered through service was on: being nice to illegal immigrants, climate change and how brave kids were to do gun control walk outs in their school. I'm pregnant and I've been advised by two medical assistants and finally the actual obgyn to get vaccinated from covid. When I said no Dr told me another woman got covid and it forced her into early labor... they absolutely are advising women to get the covid vaxx.
