Oh shit! I’ve been thinking along these same lines and I think I’ve come up with something a little better than spilling a drink, or unplugging the machine. We should really hash this out. Scenario 1: bring one of those super strong neodymium magnets in your pocket (or better, stuck in your waistband) that can easily be pulled out and put back without noticeable movements. Pull that sucker out when you get in front of your machine and rub it all over, if nothing else at least the screen. Slip the magnet back in waistband and signal a poll worker that this machine doesn’t work, you need to use a different machine. Rinse and repeat, except this time you need to cast your vote before pulling the magnet back out. This way, you take out two machines instead of one. Have a buddy or two do the same thing. Scenario 2: become a poll worker. Arrive early. Pull your magnet out and go to work damaging as many machines as possible without getting caught. If they can be ruined before they are even plugged in, all the better. Let’s do this!!
