The biggest lie is that a government should not be able to create its own debt free money and instead give a private group of banks the power to create money and lend it to the government (Federal Reserve)
The real solution is to return the power to the government and then immediately limit it to only spend it on very few items, infrastructure being one of them.
As long as the created money is used to create value, then all is good, you will not get inflation, since money must be in balance to value (goods/services, etc.).
Too few people really look at money even though it affects every business transaction.

BUT, and here is the big but, people on mind altering drugs are not just harming themselves but are a danger to others. If they just killed themselves, while I don't like it, my libertarian philosophy says it's your life. But when you put others in danger, and that is the case (look at mass shootings, almost all were on mind altering drugs), it's a different matter.
Correction after the fact is necessary, but expensive.
