Shortly before announcing he was running for President, the laptop was sent to the Mac Shop in Delaware. They knew that Biden was compromised with the blackmail material and needed a way to clean up Biden for the Presidency. One way to neutralize blackmail material is to make it public. The laptop was dropped off on April the 12th and on April 25th Biden announced his candidacy. It is my contention that the intelligence community was involved in preparing the laptop for dissemination. They needed a way to get the material out and this was the method they used, rather than having it leak out of the intelligence community making it difficult to control the roll out of the material. It may be the case that Giuliani and Bannon unwittingly were doing the bidding of the intelligence agencies.
I think they already knew they were compromised and our adversaries had this blackmail information (possibly already used it on our government) and they had to get it all public before the election was stolen for Biden. They were trying to clean up Biden. The deepstate probably said, "hey Biden, you are compromised, you're going to have to come clean with the blackmail material." You can't use it for blackmail if it is made public. Also serves as a "shiny object" to distract from the voter fraud operation.
