Not a lawyer, but simply, if you have been working for longer than 3 months probationary period, it is EXTREMELY difficult to fire someone and NOT pay them out. As in they need to show that they provided multiple verbal warnings, a written warning to the same behavior AND THEN they are justified. (Outside of circumstances like drinking on the job or some reason that provides instant justification).

Many companies don't even bother with that, they will fire people and just cut a 'fuck off' check (often a number below the legal requirement, but many can't fight the lawsuit for years they can push things aside).

As far as unemployment, if the rules are the same, being fired without cause (your case, unless you kept part of the story, fits without cause) will have no impact on your ability to collect.

And as others have noted, you are likely a candidate to file a wrongful termination suit against the employer. The ONLY caution I have on this route is that some employers will avoid hiring people who have filed such cases, not to dissuade you but to be realistic for you to weigh your options. A lawyer would be viable if only for a consult to clarify the local laws that apply and any routes to have grievances addressed.

Solidworks is great and can be used for 3d printing.

For solo use, I would look at freeCAD instead.

Not just okay, the symbol of transparency.

Of course, invisibility is a form of transparency.

No. He did NOT apologize for getting things wrong, abusing power, or shutting down business.

He apologized for people being upset with him for taking the actions. He is sorry because people aren't responding as positively as he needs people to respond.

A person can delete their account now?

Years ago I had to delete my bank account because PayPal didn't have that option.

That's the way it SHOULD be. These international events have so many decorum rules to follow, and by the time they get there these athletes have already received; uniforms, parties, plane tickets, probably a bunch of swag. All they have to do is show up and compete.

I was participating in a national level version, and some guys one night broke curfew to go to the bar and got caught drunk. Not vandalizing, no fighting, just the curfew and drinking. There was discussion of stripping the team of all they received, including the return plane ticket home.

These sports events have no place for the grievances that whatever local concerns the athletes have to be aired. They are about sport, NOT politics.

I knew you russian agents would expose yourselves sooner or later. HAHAHA. /s

I do hate that I have to agree with you. Just looking at Putin, can tell he looks like the type of person who's had to choke the life out of a few people by hand. Especially noticeable when he was sitting next to Obama.

Well said, that's when you recognize that in that kind of public forum, you are NOT attempting to win the opposition to your side, you are trying to convince the spectators.

When you calmly focus on the facts and addressing their key points calmly, their tricks and games become more apparent.

Very much the type to cry out in pain while they attack you.

That's extremely small sample, but not far off.

For me, my grandmother died of old age, 93, and got her dream of dying in her sleep. The thing is, 2 others died at the old folks home that day and they tested positive, so she was also listed among the covid deaths that day. (Take or leave, no intent to dox myself)

Don't know anyone that counted more than as a "case". Edit to add: my grandma had not taken any covid tests one way or another, but was still in the count of covid deaths published that day.

Precisely, a phobia is a fear of, so, xenophobia is the closest they get to being accurate, mostly wrong in the accusation.

I don't "fear" LGBT, have had numerous LGB friends in the past, individually I really don't give a shit. What I get angry about, anger not fear, is when that gets thrown in people's faces.

Back in the 80's people would actively seek out and attack gay people. By the 90's they had tolerance, when they could marry it became acceptance, and now we have months dedicating to celebrating.

They will need to secure alberta. The overwhelming majority only wear masks as mandatory. The bars (when open) are full of people openly pissed off about continued lockdowns.

Sadly, I just don't see enough actual fight in people to push through.

My part has been trying to get the message out to smaller businesses that they are now in a state where they are penalized even by complying; lower capacity to profit, rent prices that don't change, etc. What little influence I might have.

OMG, yes, "yes he was robbing them, oh well"

"Oh well, another robber killed while committing the robbery" was my first reaction.

I remember one case like that where the guy was robbing a store when he took the room temp challenge. The family was talking about how good a kid he was and didnt deserve to die for what he did (armed robbery).

The result of the format where replies are best short-form.

I am literally disgusted with Canada at this point. Seriously, I work with a company that sells equipment to hospitals that is meant to prevent cross contamination. It typically involves HEPA filters + UV lights. STILL they are happy with a cloth mask.

Worse, the company that produces filters for the company "due to covid" no longer makes cheap fiberglass filters (meant to keep dust away from the motors) and instead only sells a filter that is roughly equivalent to N95 filtration. It costs almost twice as much.

This church ordeal just seals any potential doubt in any reasonable person you might encounter. Red pilling in person has never been easier, but still, there's a point where anger crosses a point that makes logical thought more difficult.

This has been disgraceful. The pastor has said that he is holding service at undisclosed locations for the time being.

For any actual police, we are approaching the point where you will be "just doing your job" but when they are done the sentence will be death or life in prison if you cooperate. As has happened before.

8k fines?!?!

The fines are bullshit. I'm at the point of trying to get the word to local business owners that a) they can't enforce them all, b) all the fines would clog the courts for years, and c) you are paying a fine in loss of business, rent costs that can't be offset etc EVEN BY COMPLYING you are treated as guilty and paying for it.

This is not the plague, or airborne ebola where even survivors are damaged for life.

I watched the body cam footage and didn't realize the kid had a gun until he was walking around and it landed on the other side of the fence.

I bet that cop was shitting himself until he found it.

When I was younger there was a small local cola maker, had their own store front where you could get whatever flavours added to the bottles (glass bottles). So, they started getting deals to add some inventory to the grocery chains. Once the company got a foothold in the grocery stores, it quickly became popular and so they gave them a second row. Coca-cola shows up (allegedly in that it's second hand) and tells them to remove the small guys from the store or they would remove the cola from the store.

Guess what brand is no longer in business? (Hint: it's not coke)

^^^ this + Him- "y'all are gonna media this shit like you do" At the end her- "and people are h0t headed because"cut insert whatever "media shit like you do".

These people really are stupid, maybe compulsive, that would be the literal hell to be smart but so compulsive that you have to knowingly watch yourself make shit decisions.

That is still in the controlled anger. Should remind these tyrants that all the people who were "doing their jobs" before Nuremberg still got executed even if they were "just following orders" and to stop now before they force themselves on the wrong end of a firing squad.

Thanks, that makes sense. 3d printing is cool, but unless you have around 100k for the steel 3d printing, the materials appear to be a little less than ideal for heavy duty work.

(Like dealing with the force of a bullet exploding and guiding the forces at the target with the projectile). Unfortunately, in Canada it is almost useless to be a lawful gun owner for self-defense purposes, just a curiosity.
