My great grandpa is 98. Went to the gym everyday; total beast loved doing rows. He got covid, and never felt ill. They closed his gym cause covid, and now he has a hard time getting up. Not doing well being locked in the room sedentary.
Japanese elderly volunteered to fix the nuclear reactor leak in Fukushima, so the young wouldn't have to sacrifice themselves. Our elderly voted for the young to sacrifice their livelyhood, and future, so they could pig out for a few more years.
Shouldn't have that power in the first place. All response should be at the local level, with state/federal only providing support/aid. Small towns are not impacted the same way big cities are, and should not be lumped together.
