There is quite a racket going on with native babies being taken off the rez and adopted out, amidst claims of poor parenting or outright arrangements made with moms to let their babies be adopted. Maybe worse. Issue compounded by a lot of the babies being born as drug babies or with FAS. Adopters can only pray they are adopting a child who is not damaged.
