I hear Waco Tx is good. But have not lived there. Can't say I would recommend Nv. Unless you like Vegas. It's good you will rent not buy you need a year in any town to really know if you want to stay. Depending upon your skill-set, might be best not to settle in a small, college town or touristy enviro. Predominantly Conservative base not a Liberal one is wise from a happiness standpoint. I was in Cal 30 years. Fled to mountains in Az. Other place I love is up north, Montana. Pioneer spirit.
