Because it isn't. Hospital covering it's ass plus they will get more covid subsidy money. But do what makes mom feel safest about the birth. What's stupid is that if the mom has antibodies so does baby, but common sense doesn't enter into hospital policy.
Bad position to be in, my sympathy! So sorry. Hideous scenario. But do what makes your wife feel the safest about the birth. Some people are much too frightened about home births. When your family is all together with your baby, even if there is a totally stupid quarantine, this bump in the road will be in the past. Not a good time to scare the hell out of mom to be.
