TBH a man gains nothing from marriage today, but risks losing a lot. I don't blame any man for being hesitant to commit with the way no-fault divorce laws are set up and the crazy high rates of divorce.

What's the benefit for taking such a risk? Is it worth the risk? Those are the questions young men are asking today, and a lot of us are saying no thanks.

If the hashes are properly salted rainbow tables are not a problem.

FBI needs to be thrown out of every state and make them do their investigations from D.C.

This is the answer. Red governors need to push back on the FBI the way blue governors and mayors push back against ICE. Anybody we support for office should promote defunding/disbanding the FBI the way lefties promote defunding/disbanding ICE.

The FBI is an institution tarred with shameful actions and tactics throughout the entirety of it's short history. We don't need it, and we were better off without it.

Often the process is the punishment. When the media runs your name through the mud and lawyers drain your bank accounts, it doesn't really matter if you win in court.

It's 2021 and the FBI is still using handwritten 302 forms instead of objective audio/video recordings of interviews. They do this so they can spin and lie about the content of interviews with the intention of misleading a court.

If you're hosting a website in the United States foreign law has no relevance.

NPR isn't going to shut down their comment section because Chinese law disallows speech.

in many countries libel was being printed...This is one reason that prompted limiting of comments.

Section 230 grants immunity from suits for user-generated content, so the argument doesn't apply to online comment sections.

If it were an error we'd see 50% off the "errors" banning left-leaning pages. 100% of these "errors" ban right-leaning pages because they aren't errors.

The way forward isn't to abandon tech. The future will involve more end-to-end encryption and peer-to-peer networks rather than centralized, unencrypted client-server models that are common today.
