SO far, lawyers aren't willing to touch it. It's too easy to fire people in this State and the activists are simply showing "inappropriate" posts. They know certain companies are all about their image.

This is what lawyer #1 says:

"Employers, barring very specific exceptions, are generally allowed to conduct business with employees "at-will." That means, and always has, that what you say outside of the office can get you terminated. Going forward, your legal action would most likely be against activists if they defamed you - as defined legally. Unfortunately, it appears they used your own words and thus no likely cause of action, i.e. legal case. This type of activism is the state of affairs in this day and age. Please apply for unemployment immediately and if you are Denied, which is likely, I can provide assistance. Please contact me back if this occurs."

My only issue is that the activists using my own words isn't the issue. It's that they made my employer believe I was racist simply because they went against the BLM movement. Unfortunately, my employer never said anything about me being racist, only that it was "inappropriate." I feel like there will be no justice in this at all.

Didn't get anything in writing. They said I was being mailed my termination paperwork. I did not have a contract, no.

Jesus.... this is why part of me is glad to be free from my employer. That's insane that we need to live as an employee 24/7.

I don't know how much it will help in some cases. This employer who fired me was okay letting doctors and nurses stage a protest DURING work hours. It was called "white coats for black lives."

I completely agree. I never spoke out at work either, but I guess it doesn't matter if you are being watched online by activists....

I can remember about 92 times I could have went to HR, but I'm not a little bitch over people saying shit. Sometimes I question those ideals of mine.

100% truth. Now even my wife is being forced to obey her employer simply because she is backing me. Un...real....

Nope. Although, I feel "free-er" now that I no longer must tread lightly with what I say. I can actually speak the truth.

Already did, unfortunately, they update these things at random. They told me how the Social Media Guidelines were updated in January to include off work and inappropriate comments. The issue is, the inappropriateness of something is based on whatever they want it to be. Example: they also held a pro-BLM protest called "white coats for black lives" and that was okay.... during work hours even.

Just keep in mind that they will spin it as "inappropriate comments." Here's some examples of what I found online that they wouldn't tell me directly:

  1. I had said that any looters who come into my community will take the asphalt temperature challenge.
  2. Things like "pandering to BLM while blacks are killing more blacks." You know, the truth

I just want it known that while I don't think I should be fired for these things, they will absolutely try and say these things go against their beliefs. And because I don't know EVERYTHING that was sent to them, I'm sure there are things taken out of context. But I was with this company for 8 1/2 years.... I have never been inappropriate at work except for a time 5 years ago when I found out another employee was going behind my back and trying to make me lose my job. I called him a pussy in anger when I found out.... and yeah. He went to HR. LOL

It's a hospital system in the Pittsburgh area. There's probably not much you can do to boycott them.

I do hope you are right about it disappearing in a few months, but when you see physicals things like statues being destroyed and blocks of cities being taken over, I start thinking otherwise.

It's a basic social media platform right now with some articles. We have a few writers, but I'd love to push this shit. And no, it isn't all about the money. Especially now. It;s about destroying the left and these activists who have ruined so many lives.
